Yep!
Quote from Jakg :Fjord - Lake
Ford - Small river, stream if you will

EDIT - Oh, you meant the car company? I own all 6 of them.

A FORD is NOT a small river...it is a shallow crossing place across a small river/stream

Quote :ford (fôrd, frd)n. A shallow place in a body of water, such as a river, where one can cross by walking or riding on an animal or in a vehicle.

tr.v. ford·ed, ford·ing, fords To cross (a body of water) at a ford.

[Middle English, from Old English; see per-2 in Indo-European roots.]

It is an area in a river where one can cross. You see them in country roads a lot

I personally have never owned a Ford, but my parents have owned many (my mum only started dating my dad because he had a Transit because he was a Deejay LAWL!). And over they years the list is rather large. Then they got a FIAT, then a Minibus (hooge family and all. I forget who made it), then went back to Fords, now they have a Vauxhall, oh, and rented a Ford Focus for a few days as the Vauxhall was on a ramp (again, more unreliable then any other cars) and we needed a car. God damn are Forcus's shitty cars, it's like riding on rocks, only I'm sure rocks would make a smoother ride.

But I like Fords, other than the Focus, they have all been good drives, nice ride, plently of power, piss easy to get spares for (and cheap too).
I once had a Fiesta. It was terrible in every way.
I don't personally have one but my parents do. It's not bad, I actually like it quite a bit
Did have an old Escort while I was learning, it was crap in just about every way - brakes that felt like they were made of jaffa cakes, the engine had loud tappets, even the seats were more uncomfortable than an old Micra. Only plus point was it was fun to mess around with offroad, because I didn't give a toss about it In its defence it was cheap to run and the engine was pretty nippy.
i'm awaiting the Fordman's reply

nope i dont drive a ford. was tempted to buy an ST last month but they were jus too expensive €34,000!! illepall
I'd like to get the Mustang V8, or a GT(just to keep for 50 years and sell for 4 million dollars)

Same here. I had a hand-me-down 83 4 door automatic. We would have a blast in that thing. We'd skip school, head out on the back roads, nail the e-brake and drive around sideways for hours. Occasionally, we'd get bored, I'd let go of the e-brake for a second, swing the back around to the opposite side and we'd drive like that for a while looking out the other window.

Ford Escorts rocked, especially with 10 people in them. One in the center, 2 on the passenger seat, 4 in back and 2 crunched up in the hatch and me driving .

Of course, about the longevity and reliability of Ford Escorts.... I aquired mine when my parents bought a new car. Had 24000 miles or something. It didn't handle my driving style past 36000 miles, hehe . To compare, my style didn't really change after I bought my first Toyota 4x4. In fact, from 4wheeling it, my style probably gave a worse beating on the Toy. Got rid of it simply because I wanted something newer at 190,000 miles. Still ran like a top too.

If I had a Ford today, I sure wouldn't admit to it, hehe. They aren't as bad as GM products though. Can you say "no feeling!" with GM.
Mondeo - cheap and nasty but get you from A to B
Focus - drive nice, look ok, made from plastic, tacky as hell
Fiesta - just plan horrible (old ones more so)
KA - feels like it cost even less than it did, unbearably slow, fugly, no boot
Where is the option: I have one and I don't care?

I own a 10-year old Fiesta and about the only good thing is that it's mine... I don't really care what I drive as long as it takes me from A to B, when I use it once in a while...
Quote from Bob Smith :Focus - drive nice, look ok, made from plastic, tacky as hell

Pretty comfy drive if you ask me Better than a lot of cars
Quote from Bob Smith :Fiesta - just plan horrible (old ones more so)

Agreed. Not suitable if you're over 5'11" either.

fugly, metal showing in the interior on the newer versions do NOT make them look sporty in the least, crap all round if you ask me.

I was considering a focus, until I get my peugeot. To be honest, Ford's arent really anything to shout about. At the end of the day they're transportation and Ford do that well. The one thing that gets me is the weird, high up, bolt upright driving position you appear to have by default on the newer models.

If I was looking for a new car again, I probably wouldn't consider Fords as much as I did. Then again, I wouldn't say no if someone gave me one for nothing...
I have a Mercury Sable... Essentially a Ford Taurus, that count?

It's ugly as sin, and I hate it. Gotten us to Florida and back for 7 years now though...
I drive a Focus I (the first generation, that is).

And I used to drive an Escort MK II.

OK, now what is the point of this thread?
Since I have a family and have to act like a family guy, I have a Ford Mondeo 95 2.0 L 136hp...
My hope is to have a Mazda 6 in the future...

The Ford in this image is blue but mine is red.. couldn't find any red ones atm....
