Quote from ZFRL•LG-mies via RG discord :RTFR CCCC (Mclarry_D8M) lap 11, t3 (the first one you brake into), Jereloco
I was braking to the corner as usual, closing to the outside kerb, when Jereloco went for a "divebomb" from outside with an extraordinarily late braking spot, rear-ending me with over 30km/h speed difference. It can be seen on the replay that he may have not made the corner if he hadn't hit me.

The description about late braking point is not really correct as observation showed that the driver in question did use quite similar braking point in following laps. However Jereloco should had been more careful seeing driver slightly off speed ahead and adjust his speed according to this - lack of this judgement led him to slide beside driver ahead, with cars that are very unstable under brakes by default, and hit it.

* PENALTIES :
Jereloco - receives a WARNING for avoidable contact on start of lap 11. Having the driver on the list with several warnings, knowing his history in other events and knowing his unchanging agressive racing style, this will be considered as final warning before actual race ban if the driver does not start to be more cautios and avoid incidents!

So we keep testing various different cars and their classes that are not in standard LFS cars list - this time we tried out under racing conditions a car from very crazy era. In early 70ies the sports cars were receiving big and powerful engines, but these were mounted in cars that consist of very basic construction and do not provide in modern times very well known aerodynamic help. This led to unbelievable speeds (racewinner clocked a speed of 336km/h) with car that struggles to turn in the bends all LFS drivers used to go through flat out without worries in every other car. Despite rear tyres with 45 centimeters width, many drivers struggled keep the car straight when accelerating out of turns, making the McLarry a love it or hate it car.

The driver latelly taking almost every victory lane latelly in normal RTFR reserved it for himself also yesterday - Gábor clocked the fastest known laptime in this combo in qualifying, beating his teammate in 2nd position by almost a second. He led every lap besides the one he lost lead due own mistake, but that was a temporary setback as he run away from competition to cross the finish line 43 seconds ahead of closest follower, scoring the 1st RTFR-CCCC race win. The event organizer also had his setback falling down the order after own mistake before reaching 1st proper turn, but during race drove by many struggling drivers and finished 2nd. 3rd was his teammate Lorenzo, who led a lap,but had to give up the earned 2nd position due blown tyre.

Next week RGE will present 2 events - first on tuesday the normal RTFR will feature a race with one of the slick tyre cars, more info as always during the weekend. 2nd event will take place on sunday and that will be a brand new event that will use 2-wheeled vehicles - motorcycles! Race Green Westhill Tourist Trophy is a time trial type event on the public roads of Westhill (using an updated Westschleifenring layout),where bike riders will be able to show their skills in competition, more info in the Westhill TT info thread!

From 2 powerful cars we'll reduce the power drastically and race something with 250cc engine that delivers just 15 horsepower. And together with this car we'll use Westhill's Karting National track for the first ever time in reverse direction and also run there a car that's made for tracks like this - a proper karting machine named after a known team in LFS. The kart has a cetrifugal clutch and a single gear - that's also a first time in Race Green Events history. By not having a lot of settings to change, this race will be decided basically by skillset for such specific vehicle.

IMPORTANT: To avoid possible stuck cars,Jam's app will be connected to server on race day, where you can use command ;turn to turn your kart 90° leftwards!

All these years LFS users were using MRT as the closest vehicle for karting, now we have few more correct options - one of those was put up for test yesterday. Named after the team of the creator, the Master Race Kart with it's low weight, tiny wheels and lack of suspension had it's own handling characteristics, which made it to be yet another love-it-or-hate-it car. There were plenty of tryers, but on the grid there were 24 cars standing to experience probably the slowest start in LFS history - these cars feature single gear and centrifugal clutch,so it's launch was comparable with very heavy vehicles.

Only drivers themselves can answer how much real karting experience they have and how much it helped them yesterday, but R.Kardol joined the server without previous days practice and was the 2nd fastest in qualifying, setting a new PB during the chace for lead, made a pass for lead right after his new personal best and led the remaining 23 laps to score a race win also in the experimental version of RTFR. Botsi was the fastest in qualifying repeating the fastest known laptime of this combo, but had his struggles in the first 1/3 of the race, where he lost his lead and could only follow his teammate to finish 2nd,but at least he set the fastest lap of the race. Goszki finished 3rd already 11 seconds behind the winner, thus finishing in same position he started, but also had his share of position changes in the race.

Next week we'll go back to the "real thing" - the normal RTFR will provide racing action with one of the standard slick tyre wearing cars, more details will be posted during the weekend!

After 12 weeks break the event returns as we're getting closer to winter and with it to our winter league. Already previously RTFR has been used as testing ground, this will be the 1st time when a car will be tested for it's competition ability. On the line is the modern sports sedan carrying all the luxury with it - that's the reason it weights close to 1.7 tons, but with 400+ horsepowers, slicks and all-wheel-drive system it's everything else than slow - the pace is rated to be just few seconds slower than the NGT class cars. R4 tyres is probably the only option on front axle for the race if we have learned something from many years using FXR.

The RGE winter league is closing and the organization is starting to gather up cars list for it,sometimes it's not clear if the car really fulfills the requirements,so this time the RTFR-CCCC was used as a testing ground for a candidate - the 1.7 tons heavy Fend Torus T,which is equipped with slick tyres. Still the heavy weight created such load on the tyres, that the race turned out to be one of the usual tyre tortures, where it's more important to not overheat tyres than focus on racing. Admitted it's also a kind of a skill when racing, but with RB4 and another realistic candidate we have this kind of racing covered already - thanks to the racers this tuesday we found out that this car will not be featured in AWS.

Regarding the race itself - it has a distinctive favourite for the win,as Antonio was fastest in pre-event practice, set the fastest lap in qualifying and led every single lap to achieve something he never got close to in standard RTFR races - a race win (best result so far is 5th place in RTFR). P.Koivunen started the race right behind the polesitter, lost few positions early in race, but later climbed up to 2nd,closing up to leader in latter half of the race to finish 2.32 seconds behind winner, setting also fastest lap of the race during the chase - that's something he never achieved in standard RTFR. 2nd position is a repeat of his best finish in RTFR. Texas was one of those, who slipped by P.Koivunen early in the race, but eventually he lost position to him and settled in 3rd position to finish just over 20 seconds behind race winner - that's also a repeat of his best achievement in both RTFR and RTFR XL.

Next week it's back to the basics - the normal RTFR will return with one of the slick tyres wearing default LFS cars. More info can be seen in broadcast of previous race, other option is to wait for the weekend and read full info here in this forum section. In 2 weeks RGE will offer 2 fast single seater races - on monday the round 4 of 2022 VERL season will take place in Aston's National configuration,on the next day the BF1 will be featured in RTFR XL race at South City's longest standard configuration.

More then a year after last edition of this competition based testing it's time to dust it off of forgettness and try another car that has not been properly raced. The RandomCar manufacturers champion URC1 was used there with almost maximum possible restriction,so it was tamed down to be at PL200 class performance, which is not really a high difficulty car class. But have you ever imagined to race the Ultimate Road Car with it's full performance? This tuesday you will have the chance to try it out! 600+ horsepower,1100kg lightweight chassis with mid-engined/rear wheel drive layout, relativelly wide road legal tyres - these are the key factors of the URC1. Being used to pure race spec cars with similar power, one must bare in mind much longer braking zones.

The open tuesday was filled with a return of forgotten RTFR version - the simple event that tests how well does certain cars act when being raced in competition. Knowing tyre problems with faster or heavier cars,it was questionable that URC1 can be raced with it's full potential (it's well known that the car is superior in PL200 class with almost full restriction). The answer is almost positive - some said the car is a problem, others dealt with the challenge and did not complain. The 600+ horsepower engine loads the rear tyres a lot,so it's something to take care of during a race, but car's top speed of over 300 km/h is unprecedented for road legal cars in LFS,so that surely forced drivers to adjust braking points they're so used to.

In qualifying the fastest driver was unsurprisingly the driver with most LFS world records - the rare visitor in RGE hosted races set the fastest lap in qualifying by a relativelly small margin, however both front row starters came together under braking after long back straight, allowing R.Kardol to take over the race lead already in lap 1 - he never gave it up to win an RTFR-CCCC race for 2nd time. His teammate Unite did not spend much effort in practice and qualifying, but found the pace in race to climb up to 2nd place, while 3rd place finisher TJ joined the race with little warm up between 2 sessions - that proves that this is quite a driver's car.

Next 2 weeks will bring the season finales of both RTFR and RTFR XL - the combo for first one on coming tuesday has been announced in broadcast of previous race, but full info will be posted on the weekend.
