A busy week this week, with an influx of new players and our highest turnout to date with 45 drivers over the course of the evening and 29 drivers on track at one point. As always this led to a rash of 'overenthusiastic' contact. Unusually, this time repeated warnings did not help - those who ignored the warnings are banned until after the TOC.
There was spectacular racing nonetheless, nerves of steel and lightning reactions were the order of the day!
Back on the top step for the 2nd time is VM's **Dlocky** with 169 points and 7 wins, and a margin of 37. Congratulations!
2nd this week was MRc's **TimDC** with 132 points and 3 wins
3rd place goes to OK's **Rauno**, chasing hard with 128 points and 4 wins.
Special mention goes to Sardjon for topping the next pack of 4 drivers who ended up separated by just 7 points.
*Join us this Friday at 19:00UTC for the* **LAST CHANCE** *to set a qualifying score for the* **Trial of Champions**
A new season has begun, with more stats available on the events page and season points now being tracked! Previous seasons have had points back-fitted to them, so some overdue congratulations for previous victories go to **Jon 606**, **Jam 616**, and **Rauno**! https://piranmoto.co.uk/seasons
The first event of Season 4 went with a bang - gauntlet thrown!
On the top step for the 3rd time in a row - just one short of the record - is VM's **Dlocky** with 178 points and 10 wins, Congratulations!
2nd this week was MRc's **TimDC**, our newly crowned Trial Champion, with 145 points and 4 wins.
3rd place goes to **J De Cnodder** with 128 points and 1 win - a well-earned first time on the podium.
A relatively low turnout this week, but spectacular action nonetheless with a distinctly rampy theme keeping people on their toes.
Back on top this week is VM's **Dlocky**, with a stonking 182 points and 11 wins.
2nd this week was last week's winner, OK's **Rauno**, with 160 points and 2 wins.
3rd place goes to MRc's **TimDC** with 132 points and 4 wins - still managing the podium despite an injury.
In the season standings, **Dlocky** moves ahead with 58 points to **TimDC**'s 56, and also takes the lead in all but one of the stats and averages, with an average of 8 wins per event!
**Flying ET** joins **J De Cnodder** with 50 points each, but overtakes in the standings and takes 3rd place due to race wins.
Honourable mention goes to OK's **Rauno**, already up to 7th place of 41 drivers depite missing the first week. He's also holding the only average not held by Dlocky, with an average of 14.5 podiums per event!
A bit of a mixed event with a strange apologetic vibe this week - no need to apologise if you're within the rules. *It's a DD event, we're supposed to be fighting!* We also seem to have an event podium that matches the current season standings - are we all giving the top guns too much space to fight amongst themselves?
So, Back-to-back event wins for VM's **Dlocky**, with 170 points and 8 wins.
2nd place is MRc's **TimDC**, with 157 points and 7 wins.
3rd place goes to **Flying ET** with 133 points and 2 wins.
In the season standings, **Dlocky** extends his lead over **TimDC** by a point, **TimDC** extends his lead over **Flying ET** by a point, and **Flying ET** moves clear of **J De Cnodder** by 2 points.
Another week of fluctuating numbers, but action-packed nonetheless with some classics and some new combos. Motorway Madness lived up to its name in the NG2s and Celtic Midi seemed much smaller in the GT class!
It's 3 event wins in a row again for VM's **Dlocky** (one more to equal Rauno's record), with a monsterous 188 points and 11 wins - winning the event even before the penultimate round had ended with a margin of 49!
2nd place this week is PM's own **Jam 616**, with 139 points and 3 wins.
3rd place again goes to **Flying ET**, just 8 points behind with 131 and 3 race wins.
Shout out also to PM's **Jon 606** for a rare race win on the terrifying Motorway Madness track!
In the season standings, **Dlocky** extends his lead over the pack as **TimDC** falls back to 3rd place having left the event early. He also reclaims the only average he was missing from the set, with 14.6 podiums per event. **Flying ET** fills the place between, up from 3rd.
Just 6 points now span the 4 places from 2nd to 5th, but **Dlocky** is running away at the top with a margin of 12 points!
Our lowest turnout for a while, but there was still plenty of action with multiple death-alley style tracks. This week saw Dlocky's teammates Dan and Khaos join (as if he needs the help!) later on, and the VM train was on tour for the latter half of the evening - claiming 3 podium lockouts in the process.
It's a record-equalling 4 event wins in a row for VM's **Dlocky**, gained with a record-equalling 194 points and a record-equalling 12 wins - again winning the event even before the final round with a margin of 39! Is there any stopping him now?
2nd place this week is **Flying ET**, with 155 points and 3 wins.
3rd place goes to PM's own **Jon 606** with 111 points.
In the season standings, VM's **Dlocky** and the independent **Flying ET** hold 1st and 2nd place respectively, as RTT's **J De Cnodder** overtakes MRc's **TimDC** into 3rd.
This week's event was dedicated to the memory of CK, with many tribute skins and name colours making a fine sight, and all drivers sharing a minute's horn on the green light of the first race before setting off. This one was for you, CK.
It's a new record of 5 wins in a row for VM's **Dlocky** as he wins his record-equalling 8th DD event with 8 wins and 157 points! Congratulations again!
2nd place is MRc's **TimDC** returning temporarily to honour CK, claiming 140 points and 5 wins for him.
3rd place goes to VM's **Dan190NL** with 126 points, claiming a podium on his first full event. It looks like the VM domination is set to continue!
A special mention for Ivanov, missing the podium on his first event by just 2 points.
In the season standings, there's no change in position with VM's **Dlocky** leading **Flying ET** by 17 points, who in turn leads RTT's **J De Cnodder** by 7 points.
A relatively low turnout worked to our advantage this week, with excellent racing and hard but good-natured fighting. Sometimes this is a little hard to see through the chaos of high-numbers and over-enthusiastic first-timers, but it is always there in the core and it was nice to see it naked
Dlocky didn't have it all his own way this week - we went down to the last race, with the entire podium all spanning less points than are available for a win! Did we stop him?...
Yet more records for VM's **Dlocky** as he becomes the most successful driver in PiranMOTO Open DD history with a record 9th event win, a record 6th in a row, with 170 points and 5 wins. Congratulations!
2nd place goes to **Flying ET**, just 7 points behind with 163 and 3 wins - edging ever-closer to the inevitable win.
3rd place goes to PM's own **Jam 616**, a single point behind with 162 and 4 wins.
A special mention for MRc's **Matteoszop** who joined with 4 races left to go... and won 3 of them in a row!
In the season standings, there's no change in position with VM's **Dlocky** leading **Flying ET** by 18 points, who in turn leads RTT's **J De Cnodder** by 9 points.
A record 10th win for VM's **Dlocky**, with 158 points and 8 wins. Congratulations!
2nd place goes to PM's own **Jam 616**, 23 points behind with 135 and 3 wins.
3rd place goes to **Flying ET**, a single point behind with 134 and 4 wins.
A special mention for A&B's **Roberson** who won his first race, defending well in the mini!
In the season standings, there's no change in position for VM's **Dlocky** and **Flying ET** in 1st and 2nd respectively, but PM's own **Jam 616** has snuck into 3rd place ahead of **J De Cnodder** by a single point.
Hello, I recently returned after an approximately 3 year break. I mostly did demo races before, but I started cruising for the moment, I found out from the players in the cruise server that there is an event on Friday and I decided to try it.
My opinion after I tried one Friday night there:
It was great. Because it was so different from being prepared for a track with the right setup and car. In Piranmoto they use different tracks with different layouts and different cars. Sometimes standard cars, sometimes GTR with restrictions. (Of course, this is not something new in LFS, but I recommend it for people like me who rarely go to events. No registration or anything is required, just log in to the server, play and leave. That's it.)
We played 15-20 people and it was a great experience, mostly because of the variety of randomness and of course because there were people who participate every Friday. Most people knew each other from the cruising server, that's why I'm writing here. I just saw the post and just wanted to give a thumbs up for the good organization and the fact that they continue to support these servers and events after almost a year of this post. (maybe then the events and the servers started - I don't have information about that)
I suggest anyone who wants a little variety of randomness to try Friday's event. I am writing this post because I enjoyed the event and saw that not many people come in from other servers or in other words - most of them were familiar to me from the cruising server.
So at my head I decided to write a word or two about Piranmoto. I recommend trying one Friday and having fun. It costs nothing but to spend a little time and quick reactions to set the car to the wide variety of routes the use.
If someone is interested, take a look at their website for the exact date and time.
