Graphics Progress Report: Westhill
Hello Racers,

For this month's progress report we will show you some images of the updated Westhill track.

As Westhill is one one of our more modern track areas, it didn't need to be reworked as heavily as some of the others.

Textures have been updated to take advantage of the new lighting system, new 3D kerbs have been added and there are various scenery updates around the track.

btw seeing those tents and flags at each track update.
Is it possible to add those to the autocross editor, within a new list named: Scenery objects

With this i think the objectlimit need to be increased.

another question:
if i make a box with concrete slabs, will it be pitch black inside?

Assuming each track takes about a month (or a bit more), then the last 3 tracks will be finished within 3-4 months. Does this mean we might see an official update within 4-5 months?

0.6T ("before") shots are all done in open config, so there are some missing objects. Might go through and update with the right track configs if I get time later.

The new road path looks amazing as well as the shadows. Nice work boys!
Nice to see things go on. Next reports will be the most juicy ones (hope so)! Thanks again @Degats very handy to compare what has changed. Hmm...so many tents on those areas which have been used in many autocross layouts...

Those tents won't show up in open config, so won't be a problem for layouts. There are already some tents, trucks etc that only exist in some standard configs and not open.
The next tracks especially south city will need far more time but I am relatively optimistic we do not see the tracks in the order most of the work on it has been done.
Meaning a lot of the missing tracks is hopefully already done.
For the kerbs, are they just new visual appointments or have they been reworked in terms of structure? Will it be possible still to "catch" the car on the kerb edge and fling it around violently (e.g right hander at Westhill bridge near paddock, Kyoto infield kerb),

And also, will the flipping cars thing be fixed with these new kerbs? Would the FXR still roll over like a leaf when mounting a low kerb?

Again Brilliant! Really sharp.

but..... the sky looks a little bit pale on the screenshots. Maybe it is more alive in the game.... (or in other weather)

Well since the autocross progress report was made, Christmas and New Years have happened, so I'm surprised this report wasn't delayed a bit.

I like the new look, especially the road behind the pits with the more detailed cliff! Smile

When looking at the race start screenshot, it looked like there was a lot more AI cars than usual. I made a (very ugly) blend between a single player race with the max 24 AIs and the screenshot provided, and it looks like it can go up to ~40? You can see the coloured cars at the back go further than the white cars I used.

Maybe they were on a multiplayer server at that time?
