As the Devs have often wrote (not excatly like that but kind of): If you are bored with LFS go play something else for some time but don't blame them for slow progress or moan the whole time, etc. So that's what we do.

It's not like we at Triple7Racing have dropped LFS, as we do both simulations and do news about LFS as well. Right now we do a little bit more in Assetto Corsa, so what. We don't see this as a problem.
The Devs also gave permission to convert the Blackwood track for Assetto Corsa and always allowed these kind of threads in here.

And last but not least this is an off topic forum about Assetto Corsa so I can't see why they should have any problem with the fact that we do some racing events for AC and try to also find some drivers in here for our Monday Night Racing Events. As most people have more then just one game.

Yup I'm sure they don't mind at all, they have a good product..AC can be a little hard on some older machines (Graphic wise) so It's nice to have choices.
For those who had not seen it already, there is a snapshot of the R8 Plus that will come for free being driven on Brands Hatch (most probably)
Top mod, official content worthy

Would anyone like to join us for our next Monday Night Racing event, on 30th November?
Race lasts about 30 minutes. We'd love to see you there.

If I read correctly, seems that the dream pack 3 will be available en of this week or next week, including :
Brands Hatch track (laserscanned)
10 cars

some are visible in the video ... some remain unknown Wink
No price it seems up to now ...
It should include a VW Polo to invade the track with...
Is AC a worthy successor to LFS or are they still struggling with frames & bugs.
Is it worth a purchase?.

I do not see it as a successor, but even with its flaws, it is very very good sim in my opinion. Awsome graphics and very good feelings for most of the cars.
To be tested deeply for all simracing fans Smile

Q1: Successor? Not quite due to LFS unrivaled king netcode and overall package completeness. AC is doing the job and brilliant MP races can be had, despite the lack of certain features.
Q2: Worth buying? Absolutely. The FFB/feeling has no competition imo. Just hotlapping puts a big grin on your face.

As a whole, I wish AC reaches the standards of LFS with all it's beautiful solutions/features. Or, that LFS eventually reaches AC levels of tyre physics/FFB (go Scawen! Smile). The modding community of AC has delivered some very impressive elements (tracks/cars/apps) which speaks for a long life.

In the end, only you can tell if it suits your gaming style.

lol. C'mon now.. it's the best sim out there by far, only thing lacking is the common sense and ahead of it's time MP part of LFS..
I am loving it, I don't see myself playing any other racing sim after this. LFS engine sounds are awful and graphics wise it's just meh, iRacing feels dull as hell, no driving pleasure at all, and tire noise is a joke. I don't play online so I don't care about the all time awarded and praised LFS net code. So yes, it is worth every cent.

10 cars.. where did you read that?
Quote from R3DMAN :10 cars.. where did you read that?

Now that you say this ... I probably mix with the Dream pack 1 content ... Seems it is 7 cars (each time less than the previous ... cheaper than Dream pack 2 ? ) for sure.
Seems :
Lotus 25 1963
Lotus 72D
McLaren 650 GT3
Mercedes AMG GT3
Abarth 500 Assetto Corsa
Ford Escort MK1
Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera

to be noted that on a screenshot promotting the famous R8, we can see a C7 doing the pace car (I may be wrong, but it seems), and the car next to it on the right is not looking like an R8, more a Porsche imo ... Could be a surprise Big grin .
Add this to the Audi TT Race car they are integrating ...

its not a porsche, its an r8 breaking into the corner.it has a spoiler which comes up under brakes.
ah ok, you are most probably right
Also, if you look closer you can see the two vents next to the glass in the rear window, and if you squint and turn you head 37degrees to the right you can almostmake out a whitish / silveryish blur which is the audi badge.

Also the black vent that runs across the under side the rear lights is quite visable aswell..

Smile

I wish it was a porka tho.
Everytime we had a mod-to-licenced car change the mod thread went silent before it... we haven't heard from any of the big WIP mod Porsches in a while ,the 917K, the 962... mine doesn't count Big grin

That meco dude must be kunos undercover agent. Porsches in ac would be a huge bomb though and I seriously doubt it as it would be just too expensive. That being said I'm kinda surprised kunos hasn't yet done a porsche gt3 type of car with ruf badging like iracing did.

As for that pic the car behind the c7... to me it looks like the ruf 12rtrtt. Or it could be one of the other rufs that were announced a while back. Maybe the Rt35 S that was mentioned some time ago?
