Quote from Bean0 :If you right click the .exe and choose 'open archive' you can see all the files it contains. You may or may not require 7zip to be able to do this

Tried but it's not ZIP nor RAR, don't have 7zip here now.

Quote from Flame CZE :The only updated files should be the LFS.exe and language text files, nothing else.

If only but because they rarely are I prefer to do manual path with as you wrote:
Quote :LFS_PATCH_Z25_TO_6F_setup.exe

First thing I notice is messed up car selection. Textures would take more time to notice.

Quote :The best way in my opinion is to run the auto-updater from in-game. Then it just updates the necessary files from 6E to 6F. No need to manually download and run anything. I'm actually not sure why they don't offer a download link for a 6E to 6F patch as well.

Me neither. I removed the restarter some long time ago and made a copy before manual patch. So I can safely roll back what is needed when I know what to copy back. I would not say it's 100% safe that the autoupdate won't overwrite other things as well.

Yep 7zip will extract it now, it seems to have turned to some extract any exe thingy.

data\dds\AX_ARROWS.dds
data\dds\AX_BARRIERS.dds
data\dds\AX_CHALKALPHA.dds
data\dds\AX_TYRES.dds
data\pic\AX_ADS1.jpg
data\pic\LFSFLAGS.raw
data\pic\x_CARS.jpg

Don't care about rest of the files I think, mostly language files and other things.
Quote from R@fiXII :Hehe yup, just when new version came out, my internet provider decided to make some "upgrades" in the network and for now my server list looks like... it is in the attachment
At first I thought it's LFS-related problem, but I soon realized that I can't connect to 80% of websites...

I noticed the 39 unresponsive servers but... did you disable all server filters so that you can see every host? (Private and empty hosts should've been on and the cruise filter should be set to black)
I have cruise servers turned off, but even though there shouldnt be 39 unresponsive servers Normally this number is 0. My ISP still hasn't enabled everything "something" so that, from what I observed, I can only conncect to some hosts from Poland, Netherlands and France (+ probably some more I don't know)

OK, fair enough. A bit strange, but I know your reason that you don't want to accidentally overwrite custom textures and such.
Quote from JackCY :Don't care about rest of the files I think, mostly language files and other things.

Well you don't really need any of the files in the latest patch, unless you care about the Czech translation or Oculus Rift support. Then you only need the new LFS.exe.

In case you've missed the Scawen's post, he posted the 6E to 6F patch file here.
Quote from LFSMasterMan :Finding it really hard to join / stay connected to a server after installing the new update, I'm getting the same error as Litro above. ive also noticed that the game seems to freeze on the loading screen for skins download, i'm also getting this error A LOT + 'Did not receive ok', this has never happened to me before so i'm guessing it's something to do with the update.

Is your PC at good condition? Well i can say that mine PC is very crappy, not sure if this is causing that error.

Mines in top condition, i'm pretty sure it's the new update since a few others are having the same problem as ours

I see timer bounded message. Not sure that this can be caused by connection. Are you using some high resolution textures? Whats the average time for track load?
Quote from DANIEL-CRO :Are you using some high resolution textures? Whats the average time for track load?

I also thing the loading time is his issue. Used to get it too from time to time when I was running like 3 full HD porn movies in background

Wow!
The patch sparked new interest!
Now i can't decide which games I shall play ETS2MP or LFS.

...BOTH <3

Nah not at all, most of my textures load pretty well no problems etc and none of them are as high res as Lynce's fern bay textures, it's only started doing it since i updated, i was talking to a few others when i managed to connect to a server etc, they were talking about exactly the same problem as i had, pretty weird!
i've Got a bug
Westhill looks a bit cleaner and the car has more grip. I like it.
Quote from Drift1r :On the note of setup stealing i really feel it's something that should be made impossible.

As some people pointed out, it can't be made impossible. Your LFS.exe must decrypt a setup and hackers can figure that out. Setups in replays are already encrypted but as LFS can read them, hackers can read them too. It would be nice to make setups impossible to read and LFS licensed content impossible to crack but unfortunately that is not possible.

Quote from paovi :on pit mode (when Pressing SHIFT+P) car doesnt appear , not matter what car i select .. Here are some screenshot :

That is strange!
Can you see the selected car in the race setup screen?
Can you see the driver in Options... Driver?
What graphics card do you have?

Also i remember that LFS freezed when i pressed shift+p. Its always now freezing at that point since new patches.

1-) i see the selected car in the race Setup screen
2-) Yes i see the driver
3-) No Graphic Card , Integrated

Actually, I also have an issue in the garage (shift+p) screen. So far I've deducted that it only happens when running some apps (experienced with Firefox or VLC [with video file loaded]) + (4x or 8x) FSAA setting in LFS. It also does this in a clean LFS 0.6F install. System is WinXP (SP3) and latest GFX drivers (nvidia 8800GTS).

Workaround/fix: 'enhancing' (nvidia control panel) the LFS setting and disabling in-game FSAA.

Kind of an interesting question: Will the new Westhill support more than 32 drivers? Maybe not, but... It was there somewhere a little talk about it of something like driver capacity or so on.

Does also anyone know, how much Oculus Rift makes a difference, if having full-size grid, and making physics to max as possible ( for example, knocking 800 cones or so. ) I have no idea about how Oculus Rift works. Yes I know basics, but technically almost none.

I might get one my own, as I am interested about the head movement support.

The current resolution it renders at is 1920x1080@75Hz, the distortion/3D effect only has a minimal performance hit (if any) compared to a normal monitor running at that resolution. So if you can already do 1080p with full grid at a stable 75 FPS, then you're good to go for the DK2.

100 units have apparently already shipped out to developers who are in the pilot program.

yeah, good to know, not going to get one in near future, as still no PC to play, though I am moved forward, closer to real life, if can say so, but if free time is able to used just for own free time, then why not LFS, if only having the freaking gaming rig + OR. But things are typically changing somehow
Ohhh, thanks for update
Scawen is there going to be multi-core support in the next update you're planning to release?
