Game randomly stutters
This problem started probably month ago.

S2 licensed, no problems.
Playing Cruising servers/drifting servers/singleplayer.
Using Google Chrome at same time as LFS. Often alt-tabbing.
Now, after cca. 10-15 mins of playing LFS:

FPS dropped from 29-30(limiter) to 1-3.
Shadow error(Warning: Shadow error(1)) Shadows disappear.
All texts are unreadable (full rectangles).

Only thing that helps is restarting computer. I tried to reinstall after this error, but it didnt help. As i said, i need to restart computer (its not very comfortable, on cruising servers mostly). Is any fix for this? i am not using any modifications of LFS. This doesnt happen on any other game (COD4, CS:S, 18 WOS, Bus driver, TRS 2006...). LFS playing on Low-mid details in Fullscreen 1024x768.

System specs:

Intel Centrino M 975 @ 1.6GHz
512 MB RAM
ATI MOBILITY Radeon X300 128MB
40GB Toshiba HDD.
Windows XP SP2

Thank you for help
Hmmm,

Centreno processor,
SP 2 ( y, wots wrong with SP3, or are u running a hacked version of windoze ? )
512 meg of ram, 1 gig should be your min.

Run malwarebytes and see what that shows, my thoughts are dodgy install of windows with malware or clogged old windows install.

LFS is usually ok but is another process cutting in, AV for instance, this may not come up with COD due to who knows
I think ram is not the problem, i can run many other games (LoL for example need 2GB, i can run it smoothly). I have my computer in fully control, ESET NOD32 last update, COMODO firewall + D+
I defragmented my HDD month ago. Is it possible that some files can be corrupted from defragmentating(some system files)?
Processor isnt problem too, with low res and fps limiter my CPU is loaded while playing cca with 70%

I don't want to tell about my OS, so just tell that i think SP3 is unnecessary for my 8years old Dell D610
I checked some facts, i reinstalled Win XP in Nov 2011
Clean all your fans, video card, remove from the pc and de dust, sounds like the prob MAY be here. Especially clean the processor heatsink, possibly even remove the heat sink and apply fresh heat paste if nothing else helps.

If they are all clean and dust free, replace your CMOS battery, and then it may be power supply.

It's an 8 year old pc so there's a range of possible failing equipment
thanks for the help! i forget to tell about my problem: if i dont enable cpu fan HIGH on start of the computer, processor freezes at 440Mhz... and sounds in the game?
Dust !

How clean is the old thing ?

Use a 1 inch paintbrush and clean it all, it may be heat buildup or it may be old box.

Start saving and upgrade. PCs only have an economic life of 5 years ( flame away and say how your 20 year old pc is fine for running crysis everyone ! )

Do accept that newer pcs are cheap, faster, and sometimes necessary.
i cleaned it 2 years ago... and fan month ago...
about new pc, i need notebook... and my money for spend is cca 100€... and i want to buy new notebook at College... now i dont need new if i can play lfs
ok, cleaned, reinstalled, still stuttering... no mods, and again in FZ5...
Tried installing a fresh LFS version?
Name all processes running and try hijackthis to make a startup list.
You should be running speedfan to see what the temperatures are inside your PC, for it to slow down after some time sounds like an overheating problem. You can log or chart the temps as well to see what happens when you're playing LFS.

Here is detailed picture of my "bug"

i am running i8kfangui with log graph... also have an Notebook Hardware Control.

Warning temperature for CPU is 95°C and HDD 55°C... Critical 115°C and 65°C.

When i am playing LFS, i have max. temps: CPU 70-73°C, HDD 53°C.
For example, playing Counter-strike 1.6, max temps: CPU 83°C, HDD 56°C.
Chipset, GPU and memory are cca 2-6°C above HDD.

I installed Speedfan, but it didn't recognized my memory/gpu/chipset sensors. If you want just CPU/HDD logs, i will put them here when i will get this error.

I just dont understand, why it's still jammed after some cooldown(just chatting on FB, temperatures going down, about 40°C)? Because when i start lfs, it starts normally, but after cca 2 sec texts became unreadable...

Find a temporary solution... When i set other resolution, text became again readable
This looks a lot like a graphics driver problem.
I don't know how to fix drivers... I was finding and finding and ATI and AMD have no information about my X300... it looks like my graphic card was never created...
Just download the latest drivers from the manufacturers website and install them.

It may well fix your problem. Although over-heating could also be the cause!
Ati Radeon X300 drivers are pretty easy to find.

You're CPU warning and critical temp concerns me. That's some high temps...
Intel drops performance when overheating, especially with the old CPUs.
Since you don't get this in CS with higher temps it's unlikely though.

It looks like your PC somehow stopped being able to handle LFS.
Suddenly it stops processing a lot of things, but everything can be the cause.
Do you have enough space on your HDD?

I'd advise -> Upgrade to SP3 -> update VGA-drivers and try again...
I understand that machine is a laptop, right? Laptops usually have a very bad cooling which can barely keep the hardware from melting and a bit of dust buildup in the fans can sometimes render it almost useless. 83° C when playing CS is a lot considering that your CPU is a 1.6 GHz Pentium M.
Try to take the machine apart and clean the fans. The X300 Mobility drivers are not listed on the AMD's website, but I guess that X300 drivers will work just fine with it. AMD has dropped X300 support about 2 years ago though, so the latest drivers I could find were Cats 10.2.
My free HDD space is: Disc C (only windows and some programs): 1,01GB/7,81GB
Disc D (programs, data, LFS): 16,0GB/29,4GB

Yes, i cleaned this Laptop/Notebook. Now I try to install new drivers. Yes, temperatures are a little bit high but its cooling on highest level...

I just dont understand one thing: When game stutters, i press shift+F11 (1024x768x 16bit) and game is fine also after next sh+F12 (1024x768x 32bit) but after next 10 mins, it happens again... i am just happy that i dont need to restart computer
Ok, tried to install ATI AMD RADEON X300 driver and Catalyst Control Center:

///Program can't detect any compatible devices///
Checking temperatures while stuttering...

Crash in time: 19 mins after start.
Max temp: CPU 68°C in 14 min(most players joined). Temp while crash: 61°C
HDD 53°C in 17 min. Temp while crash: 52°C

So i dont think that overheat might be main reason...
