How can I do this for my bike?
Not sure if this is in the right section of the forum but oh well.
Anyway
Hi,
I want to take the old v brakes off my bike.
I know how to remove the one on the left but the one on the right has that silver cable for the brake and I dont know how to take it off without stripping the cable. (here is a pic so that people can understand better):
Can someone please tell me how im going to do this?

BTW I use a mountain bike with V brakes not disc.

Thanks.

Quote from speedway :PS: the fact that you didnt figure this out on your own tells me you probably shouldnt be messing with crucial safety features

And the fact that he wants to take his brakes off in the first place doesn't bother you?

When in doubt - C4!
Wheel can be removed without removing the brakes...
E: Been there, done that, so I'm talking from exp.
i had a bike when i was young(er) that didnt have that option (or i was just an idiot back then).

probably option number two
I had a bike once.
I had a bike twice.
I had a bike again.
Learned an important thing,
Just ride the damn thing.
It was built like it was for a reason.
