Problem:
I have a Finnish layout keyboard, and every time I press Ctrl-Shift in LFS, menus or racing regardless, a message Keyboard: Latin 1 is shown and the layout changes to UK or American (i.e. something other than Finnish). It wouldn't be a problem but Ctrl-Shift is also used to view racers' unique names. It's a bit annoying typing a message on the Finnish layout, checking someone's name, typing another message and realising punctuation isn't the same..

Does not happen in Windows normally, nor in any other game (where I use Ctrl-Shift anyway )

erm....usually alt + shift changes the layout.
but i remember having that happen to me to got latin 1 instead of german ^^

@NotAnIllusion: Did you find a solution to this problem? I just got the same thing. Dunno what keys I accidentally pressed, but now I can't use ctrl-shift anymore to check usernames:

I've noticed this behavior in LFS also, but it is actually a Windows key combo. I've used it to switch between Dvorak and standard keyboard layouts since long before I ever got LFS =-/ I think the function that CTRL-SHIFT performs in LFS just needs to be mapped to something else...

Odd, it works fine now in multiplayer. I think I got confused when it didn't work watching a replay, which I suppose is how it should be.

Oh my. This "thing" is now in my LFS too. When I press Ctrl+Shift it changes buttons. To press T(talk) I must press K, and some other buttons are messed up too. Can someone help me, PLEASE ?
I really don't know why does it happens now. Can it be that I downloaded LFS Z28 from other mirror link from lfs.net ?

Found solution. Control Panel/Regional and Language options/Languages/Details.../Key settings.../Change Key Sequence.../Switch keyboard layouts < just remove accepted option!
