Logitech G25!? Never again!!! G27 too!!
Redo it a third time! I will sell it back to the first owner , 1st because he F*** me with this wheel, 2nd because the most important parts inside the wheel are made from plastic. I think G27 is same inside ...plastic plastic and again PLASTIC!

Please m8s newer buy Logitech steering wheel , but if you did , sell it as quickly as possible.

Right so how many people have various Logitech wheels and most that have had problems tend to go to logitech who are usually good about replacing broken parts/giving you new replacements free.

Obviously your expierence will have made you biased toward other manufacturers, but seriously how much are you willing to spend on a wheel for a game, Logitech make great 'lower' end wheels that do their job fine.

If you want to go and spend £500+ go for it but for most, that's simply too much for a game, so thanks for the rant but no i'm quite happy with my G25 had it a year, ragged the hell out of it with LFS, RBR, Rfactor and Iracing, it hasn't broken and I doubt it will for another few years. I will say this, what isn't made of plastic now, it's cheap to produce, if moulded correctly is more than strong enough for many applications and this is obviously one.

Also I somehow doubt the engineers at logitech used plastic without stress testing it.
I'm not sure I understood you correctly.
- Did you buy a G25 second-hand from someone else and it's broken and badly worn?

Anyway - well done fixing that. Shows you got some good engineering skills. I find the POTs in the G25 too cheap and need a clean every 12 months or so. However I remember a few years ago the only option for an H-Shifter was nearly $2000 and out of reach.
Taking pictures with a phone is bad mkay?
Well, mine works just fine... I ain't driving like a devil.

I can hear it making a noise(creaking) when turning in at a degree, but I think that's just normal, it's under stress, so what?

If it should break or get damaged, I'll either try to get it fixed or in worst case get a G27 and stick with Logitech.

Apart from the strange un-plug-plug FFB thingy, I've always been happy in the... 2? years I had it now.
My DFP went wrong twice - once, the pedals started spiking and the wheel wouldn't go further than 180°, then the PSU stopped working.
had a g25 since about 2005ish, 0 problems except 1 broken clamp (i use a rubber oil filter removal tool to tighten them ) so its now tied to desk on one side, bit looser than my bros 2008 model but that kinda helps.

edit: its been thown about all over the shop 90% drifting.
first g25 broke. Logi replaced it. When the replacement broke it was out of warranty so they gave me 50% off a g27. Logi customer service ftw.
I just took the plastic parts out

Wow wow wow , wait, wait , really man i love you from this moment!!! I swear if you give me the detailed schemes and sizes for all metal parts I'll send you one bottle homemade Brandy ( we callin it Rakija in Bulgaria) . Please PM me soon.
Thank you a lot for the good idea. I had idea for metal copy of the original plastic part but no one want to made it for me. Sorry for my bad english and thank you in advance.
Had a G25 for one year ---> no problems

and 4 days ago I got my G27, so far I don't have any probs as well.

I think it's a great wheel which I would definitely recommend.

A lot off Marry !? kiding kiding :P

Demon c'mon man , don't leave me to get these sizes alone
Sorry Grigorov, don't have the dimensions anymore. But it wasn't difficult to make. Just take the original metal plate as template. You can put the metal plate on a piece of paper and draw the outline and holes on it.
I hope this will help you.

Haha I know mate, but It's easy to take them from somebody , if ur lazy like me . Again thank you a lot , I will take them by my self .
Well, thats one thing u should have realised long time ago. Logitech just uses cheapest parts to build theyr products - and then sets pretty high prices on them. And it doesnt suprise me that its all plastic. Thats just what u get if u decide to go with logitech.

Same thing with logitech speakers, they are all utter shit ... why are people even buying them? ...

Logitech is cheap and overrated. Thats all.

Edit: I remember i saw one news article somewhere and there were said that if u see a logitech mouse with a pricetag of like um ... 20€ or so - then it probably took logitech 5€ to build this. Parts and building process in total.
I bought my g25 second hand probably nearly 2 years ago and its still going great. Have only replaced pedals with clubsports and shifter with ACT-LABS RS '06 shifter

Aren't companies supposed to make profit ...?
