Quote from UnknownMaster21 :Just for curious, as I have thought what kind of internets people have

And what provider? And where you use it?

I have 1MB Wireless from Digita 450 and I live almost in Natural Park, from 17,5km to closest town. Works well when weather is good. It is shared as for 3 computers.

30 mb broadband From UPC dedicated to this pc and a laptop ( and a mac book air... but that doesnt really count )

their really is nothing like loading a HD ( 1080p ) movie and not having to wait for buffer or such....
let alone downloads or even uploads...

How on earth do you guys get up to 90????

I can't follow it, started as a 20/10, then 30/20, now its 50/25 ish. DIGI has those packages at least. Shared with 4-5 PCs, I pay 3$ for it

Hah, if it only guaranteed highspeed connection.. Best I can get where I live in Budapest is 8/0.5 for 4x the money than the 30/20 few streets away. It's a joke, really.

384 kbit/s down, 80 kbit/s up.
Because Dt Telekom AG is too cheap to upgrade their DSLAMs.

I use an unprotected wireless network called "zyxel" that's been online 24/7 since i moved into my apartment three years ago. I actually just cancelled my contract with my ISP... no need to pay for internet when some noob decides to leave his network unprotected.

No idea about the speed, but it's fast enough for online gaming.

1 gbit/s port to AS12578 and two 100 mbit/s ports to AS24651 atm, no need for more.
had up to 9.8 MB/s down and up to 6 something MB/s up
Balticom. Pretty stable, and surprisingly a good tech support hotline.

BT sucks.
Just found out my ISP now provides 100Mbps/5Mbps for € 99 / month
If i gamed/downloaded as much as i used too, i would have considered getting it. But my current 30Mbps is more than enough

Actual download record is 3.6MB/s on a dutch server iirc

EDIT: sounds about right
