ati 4350 is very low end, don't expect to run it with all settings maxed out. I expect you will be stuck to low resolutions and details tuned down.

try to save money for a faster version. 4550 or 4770 ..
The 4870 is dirt cheap these days, pick one of those up. Stay away from the 4350, it's not a gaming card.
Wait until black friday/cyber monday and pick up a 4850/4870/gts 250/9800gtx+/gtx 260
yeah, don't go any lower end than the cards mentioned by the guy above me.

I am not sure if GTS 250 would be okay, mine 9800GT sometimes gets under 60 fps on v. high settings. (L4D2 demo)

Not every 9800gt has the same unlucky heatsink u got

Ive seen people complaining about HD4870 heat too, but i was lucky. Lmao, im on non-reference cooling, lots of heatpipes, big radiator and a good fan (but a bit noisy). I would suggest HD4870 tho.

Uh it never rised over 60°C when I played L4D2 demo.

It might be my crap (but free ) CPU too
btw, what are your pc specs? I got massive gains when i upgraded from a 4850 to a 5850 and i had an e8400 processor. Now i've got an i7 thoough. You can find used 4850's, 9800gts, 250s, for $80 or so now.

The 4770 is good. I have no problems running L4D2 with mine. Cost me about $100 new.
