Not an advert, there are thousands of folks on here that have been wandering about the obutto. But I see your point and I apologize. I haven't been on LSF for quite some time and couldn't pull up my old account.

Here is my rig (its a mess, just snapped a shot for a bud).

PC:
Dell XPS 410 (2x1.8 gig)
4 gig ram
BFG 9800 GTX+

Rig:
Obutto (old one for now)
32" lcd
G-25
buttkicker
track-ir

check it out....
I'm not that well up... I'm getting myself a 4850 in a week or so, but anyways...

My Rig:
E2180 @ 3.1 ghz - lapping pending for last half year
P5K - SE (/non EPU) - failed vDroop
7600GT @ Stock BFG Speeds
2 GB DDR2 Ram
Crappy HD
- X540 5.1
- G15
- Sidewinder
- Driving Force GT

Pending Outgauge Rig **
- Asus EEE PC @ 571 Mhz
- nLite XP pending on SD Card 16 GB
- 512 mb RAM
- Pagefile = Enabled

EDIT: 6.25 Ghz... Hmmm... Did you type 6 instead of a 3? BTW, if he stated 2.5 ghz in the beginning, then he would state 3.1 ghz for you explanation of 6.25 ghz. Anyways, a dual core in one package running at 6.25 ghz is actually 2 cores running at 3.15 ghz. If he did that, then he would have started off with 5 ghz. But in our stories, there aren't any CPUs (multi - core anyways) that is prebuilt that come @ stock 5 ghz. Thus he either lied or mistyped, or needs to get facts straight. Such, my CPU is running @ 3.1 ghz, which isn't 3.1 ghz per core or 6.2 in total, but actually 3.1 ghz, which is 1.55 ghz per core.
this is all i have right now, i just ordered it

GT220 is meh. I think.

nVidia's naming system confuses me tbh.
Quote from Jakg :GT220 is meh. I think.

It's something between 9500GT and 9600GT but with lower power consumption and lower price. AFAIK.

Exactly my thoughts! I was like, sounds fast and good, then I looked up benchmarks, and they say it's like a 9600gt, lol.
Should be receiving tomorrow, hope it lasts at least 6 months before its obsolete (insert sarcasm here)

333.3 fps constant with 8xAA 16xAF hi-res textures and all graphics on maximals... Just be sure you VSync it.

You'll be fine with medium/low settings on 2x/0x AA on both of those titles.
Build mine up around 3 months ago...

i think ull max all those games with that comp :P i max grid with the comp in sig..
I didn't notice the Core 2 Quad...

BTW, GT220 vs. GTX 260 216 SP has a clear, distinct gap...

It also depends on what resolution his display is at.

(E.g. 1024x768 should be definite max out for that setup, approaching 1650x1050 or similar probably a max is possible, etc.)

It's hard to tell, GRID at Ultra (or even above Ultra with mod), @ 1900x1200 + 4/16x AA can be pretty taxing for that card...
Got a new mobo and now running SLi, Might Overclock my proccesser some time, and the gfx cards

Jesus lol!
Nice machine.
3 moniters and mine would be just as good with a better racing stance

i just need to get the 3rd moniter and a way to mount them (and some more ports :razz
Quote from logitekg25 :(and some more ports :razz

Thats not so hard, just buy a 2nd videocard for a PCI bus and use SoftTH to do triple monitor functions

with SoftTH you dont need multiple good videocards, only the middle screen need to be good. like i have a shitty FX5200 for side screens and still play Crysis(DX9) on Highest Settings at ~40FPS.
If the game is not supported by SoftTH, play on 1 monitor and have Skype+Msn+Loads of other shit running on the side monitors

Total costs: $~30
which is still better then paying $280 for a TripleHead2Go xD

well when u talk about maxing a game on a specific comp, u need to think about what the max res of the monitor is.. mine is 1680x1050.. but sure, if he has a 32" @ 1920x1200 then it wont be as nice

uhhh...can you pm me what you just said in simple words, and what i need and i will just need moniters
Quote from logitekg25 :uhhh...can you pm me what you just said in simple words, and what i need and i will just need moniters

Firstly, you need some basic GFX card to render to side monitor(s).
Secondly, you need freeware app called SoftTH.

The card you might buy could be ZOTAC GeForce 8400 GS.

that was easy enough for me to understnd

and the app will make my cheap gfx card perform like my good one

i think it is something like a 1 gb card

...

LFS needs max. 200MB of VideoRAM, and GB count does NOT affects card performance.

A cheap card is needed ONLY because your good card only has 2 outputs (you can connect only 2 monitors to it), the 3D job will be done by your good card.

Post your "LFS" rig..
