Going to ardeche. Campsite is at a river IIRC, but my mom said I couldn't bring my boat with me.

The ardeche is full of cannoo's, you can hire them. I did the whole river when I was young on an adventure holiday and some of the rappids are a real rush (and yes, I did wipe out on one of them) and there's various rocks and cliffs to jump off too which is quite a laugh.
