I am going to upgrade my graphics card and im not sure whether to go for the Asus GTX 260 or Asus GTX 275. Could anyone tell me which one is better or are there going to be any big differences?

quite simple. 275 is the better of the 2.

Is it worth the extra money though?

that is a different question entirely.

in my opinion if you are going to spend the extra money you might aswell get the 285 instead.

The 285 is nearly £100 more so i think am gonna go for the 275, its £30 more than the 260.

The pricing of all the products after the price war between NVIDIA and ATI are amazing. You getting almost top performance roduct for 1/2 price you would pay for same performance product 2-3 years ago. Only costumers won here really.

Look for what you get now for 100Euro/GPB ....amazing.

Go for 275. Some 55nm 260 are afterovercloking same fast as 280.

What's the resolution of your monitor? Anything under 1920x1200 the gtx 260 core 216 will do fine.

My resolution is 1920x1080, i have ordered the 275 and it should be here in a couple of days!

Facing a fairly similar choice right now.

I've got a 275 and game at 5040x1050 (with three screens) and it runs everything fine. You should be ok with the same card at 1920x1080.

Yeah, the GTX275 is pretty amazing a friend is using both a monitor and a TV @ 1920x1080 at the same time with no noticable fpsdrop.

and i myself have a gtx260 which a really good card too tho

GTX275 all the way. But, if ur not really on a budget, better wait for GTX300 series

Because there are 3 monitor setups.

then why not get a 3xx, because they're faster, thus work better with multiple monitors. and why get a 270, they got DX10, and LFS doesn't have DX10.

Well reality overtook the advice, on the 10th I placed an order for a 260, it's now heading my way for 1920x1080 bashing duty.

Oddly Dabs have a new "delivery" system in place (it was not there last week), you order on a 1-3 day basis and they deliver on a 7-9 working day basis. I looked up 7-9 day deal on their web site but no mention was to be found, There is no phone number, chat was not working whenever I tried, so I wrote asking, but no reply. Now that's all a bit mouldy, and I'm full of misgivings about it. Oh well, we'll see.
