**please help me decide birthday gift**
i have a few options, which i will further assess once i sell my wii bundle for hopefully more than 600$. a good portion of money paid for ps3, and maybe some games, good portion of money paid for descent computer(my current[2003 gateway] cant even view replays without it having to be restarted, and gives me 15 fps on dirt for graphics) and that goes with playing nfs prostreet and GRID for the first time ...oooorrrrrrr. i could have her buy me an s2 liscense, and some money, but i would have to play with a no internet slow computer, that might not even let it work.

please pick as few choices as possible!

please help me out!

this might be one of the options!! >> http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?p=1198156#post1198156
I say computer, seems the most valuable in the long run. Don't worry about getting S2 so soon, I remember some of my most fun times on LFS were playing demo....

+1

Get what's right for you, or more rather, what is worth the most. In this case, most of your new PC paid for would be more beneficial for you. New PC = You can play better games, and you can play LFS with better framerates.
i am quite partial to the PC too, but i hav a g25, and i am eager to see what ps3 has to offer me
computer is the most useful for u now. i know the pain of having 2003 yr comp -.- altrho this can pull off 60fps when having full AF and 2x AA(what i use on lfs all the time) so it aint that bad
I would also say a compy would be best.

I just got a new on myself. Now I'm trying out my older games that I couldn't run well on my old system.

If you get an S2 license though, don't you need to activate it online? That's how I've done it each time at least.

yes, when you activate it it will connect to master server
sorry for late response (dad was on computer ALL DAY) the comp is probably the best, i will also kiss a$S to my mom so i can get internet too haha, also look into skullcandy skull crushers, i want those too, but not very bad. just forget about the skull-crushers.

another idea - do you have any hobbies? i like taking pics (both point and shoot and fancy ones), so i get an Olympus Tough 8000 - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Olympu ... qid=1246312605&sr=1-3

if you have a hobby, maybe think about funding that. will it be more rewarding for you than gaming?

just a thought, really it's up to you, all we can do is give you ideas, you'll have to make up your mind yourself.

anyway good luck getting whatever you want and happy birthday

thanks for the happy birthday , but i really dont have much of a hobbie other than driving anything with a motor (as i am turning only 14 in july :shy lfs is sure a lot easier than the golf-cart course i made out of tires
an S2 license, before you start using keygen or crack. and if you weren't planning to, it's worth it anyway.
Check what I voted for.

Quite a bit of unreal arcadish racing games. The only thing that might be worth trying is GT5P but it's not even nice to drive it with a steering wheel. It's just alright with the controller...

Get a PC. The PS3 is cool but personally I can tell you that if you're looking for racing games you'll be disapointed with that console. PC is the way for simulations!
