The online racing simulator
I watched Postal and Saw V the other day. I actually enjoyed them both. Postal was a lot better than i was expecting (considering who directed it) and Saw V seemed better than III and IV.
Le Mans (1971), features Steve McQueen, has some flaws but I liked the existentialist backtaste. It's a bit rough around the edges though definitely worth watching.

Grand Prix (1966) to quote Montezemolo is a bit of a brazilian soap opera but has excellent cinematography (despite what Le Mans fanboys insist on saying I don't think it has aged worse than Le Mans itself, some solutions now look real classic!)

Both movies contain feature footage shot during real races by cars that entered the respective competitions. And they cover two periods that are regarded as golden ages of motorsports, the 24h of Le Mans when the Porsche 917 and the Ferrari 512 were the undisputed rulers of the prototypes class, and the '66 season of F1, before downforce and rampant commercialism.

Just watched Tomb Raider: Ascension...its a Fanfilm, shot on a shoestring budget, but is surprisingly good!...the (unofficial!) blurb reads:

Quote :Except for Ms. Pac-Man, Lara Croft is arguably the best-known female video game character ever. As the star of Edios Tomb Raider series, sporting a British accent, sleek moves and outfits that pack more than pistols, Croft walks the precariously thin line between post-feminist icon and fanboy drool instigator.

As a result, it might seem easy to make a movie based on her, but both the Tomb Raider feature films were abysmal junk, and most fan efforts to date have haven t done her justice either. These factors make the brand-new fan production, Tomb Raider: Ascension, all the more surprising it s a great flick that simply leaves other incarnations of Croft and Co. in its dust.

Here s a fan film that feels like a feature not necessarily in terms of budget (though it s not chintzy), but rather due to the quality of writing, acting, editing and camerawork. Throughout the movie, time and again, the usual fan film pitfalls are avoided. For instance and it s no small thing the actors interact; they re not merely reciting lines. For that matter, they re all different ages, too something of a rarity in fan movies.

I'm not sure if it was ever officially released, but there are copies around for those who can guess where to look!

Very boring film if I remember correct, IMO.

Quote from Fuse5 :Valkyrie - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0985699/

Read the book before, yet the film was amazing. Even though it featured Tom Cruise and all the germans talking in english.

Watched it yesterday. Nice film indeed, although the 'middle' of the film is a little boring... But overall a great film ye.

Quote from diablo21 :The shooter

Yeah, very nice action film. +1
Just watched four brothers. Best movie i seen in a long while, The acting is a bit off at times but its nothing that'll make u facepalm. The story is great and has enough comedy action and then emotional stuff, it's a really nice balance.

Thanks for finding it first and saving me some time.

/continues watching
I watched Hangover today, absolutely AWESOME film! First film i've acctually watched where everybody was wetting themselves, it was even completely sold out, people had to just sit on the stairs.
A film very worth seeing! I may even go watch it again next friday.
From the movies I had time to watch in the last few weeks, I'd recommend:

Of mice and men
Alan Parker: The Wall (more a docummentary and only for Pink Floyd fans)

Classic spree!

North by northwest, Rebecca, The man who knew too much, Torn curtain (this last I liked slightly less), all from Hitchcock
Sunset Blvd (Billy Wider)

Been watching older films from my youth with my kids...torturing them really A couple they liked were

-Time Bandits

-The Dark Crystal

-Superman

-And we have started watching all the Star trek films. We are up to (The Search for Spock).

Very true! Funny all the way through1 Will need to see it again!
Once again I seem to be on a different humour demographic from others
Got dragged to watch Hangover and although I did not hate it, I didn't enjoy it either. Mainly this is because I'm sure I have seen it all before, only when we were discussing it later did we realise that this is more or less the same movie as “Dude, Where's My Car”....

....in fact it is so similar that I would recommend that the creator of “Dude, Where's My Car” should immediately contact the makers of Hangover and ask for a small slice of profits as the premise is so identical, I was waiting for Aston Kutcher to appear at any given moment

Thank god “O Brother, Where Art Tho” is on tonight, Coen brothers rarely disappoint and this is an enjoyable film from start to finish with a great performance from Mr Clooney, one of the few actors who I actually enjoy wacthing (as anyone who has debated the 'joys' of Jason Statham/Hugh Jackman with me, knows)
Watched Transformers:Revenge of the Fallen with GF/Mates today. Absolutely blown away by the movie

I am usually very sceptical about these kind of movies (Imported from cartoons) simply because the quality sucks and it doest feel as good. This however, amazing. Awesome graphics, awesome music, good storyline and Megan Fox was looking hotter than ever

I do not recommend it, I am telling you to go see it. Even if you dont like fiction/sci-fi genre, still give it a try. Because the movie is really good and enjoyable.

Awaiting number 3 now, because the ending stronly suggests that
Will not watch Transformers out of principle.....grew up with the cartoons, not the cgi cop-outs that we have.
Well, when Transformers was announced back in 2006, I said the same thing. But because I was made to go see it by my gf, I was very happy I did.

So I couldnt miss out this one. Just give it a try, its very good

Recommend a film you've seen lately.
