In third fcy 2 cars passed the safety car ... I guess both wanted to be the lucky "loser".

Yeah I was really wondering why nobody besides becky and me pitted.
It was almost midrace and a perfect moment.

I felt a bit guilty after the testrace cause I was complaining about serveral things in vent.

This time I tried to keep cool, so u won't become distracted again.

As much as I fight for the win, I am happy with the second place.
I had not have the time for practise and making a proper set as well as
making a better skin, cause of the 24h race.

And if u say u didn't see my messages, it is ok.
After all the fun out of it should be the reason to take part and I am trying
to keep it that way.

Not bad for the first race, but not as good as it could have been.
Still to much confusion about the rules and wrong given commands as well.

For me ... had a good start and managed to stay in top positions w/o having a crash.
So far so good I decided to make my pitstop under full course yellow started in lap 50 (or maybe 51).
The pits open command was just given out when I passed the pitentry ... I had to go another round (lap 3 of fcy).
When I made my stop(lap 4 of fcy) there suddenly came the command last lap under caution. Great I thought, exactly when I do my stop they shorten the full course yellow.

The restart happend before I could reach the end of the grid, so I had to go alone w/o someone to draft.

A few laps later I had a slow car in front which just decided to go wide while I was passing outside. Damn hit the wall and got some damage.
Funny thing about I had a the same kind of crash in the first race of the last season.

At the end managed to get second, cause everyone besides rawex and becky made a pitstop (why didn't they do this when yellow flag is out ?)

I managed to pass becky by myself. Please Becky my dear draft my next time ... I will not crash you out. We might have caught Rawex.

For me alone there was no way to get close to rawex, who drove an outstanding race at the front.

After the race I read the rules and it says :

Tbh. I might not have won the race, but for sure I would have had better chances If fyc lasted at least 5 laps, like it is said in the rules.

Even worse I tried to talk to mastermind of lfscar Mr. Fischfix himself about this but ... he completly ignored me ... great!

For the next race ... the marshalls or whatever they want to call themselfes should be a bit less talkative. Even oval racing need same concentration and second Fischfix shouldn't do 2 things at the same time
... Racing and Administrating. Afaik he already has problems doing one of these .

Last thing.
For my understanding the qualifying should line up the racers according to their speed. That kind of qualifying we had,did not do that.
In race I saw nobody bumpdrafting each other (besides my and only for a few laps, cause it didn't work out).
So I vote for disallowing bumpdrafting in qualifying, lets stick to normal drafting.

Clever answer .... how shall he contact them if his ip is banned ?

I vote for the latest available patch, no matter if testpatch or not.

Just a question ... why do the lapped cards go to the inner file in double file restarts ?
From my point of view lapped cars are usually slower and should go to the outer file .... so restart keeps clean.

I am not getting the sense out of it ... .
While racing such a feature eats to much of the screen.
So I guess barely anyone would use it.
If u submit replays of a race u would need to submit the overlay software and all the images of cars/drivers, so someone could use it.

And if u wanna capture race movies ... I guess a post production is the easier way to implement this, as well as suiting ur thoughts of how it should look like.

Beside that I might look good, it is a waste of time for a programmer imho.

I would gladly setup a server with all the layouts to practise with.

Even if there were many newbies and kids in the race, it was a funny event.
I enjoyed the converation in ventrilo, so it was not to boring at all.

No you don't need to speak.

Longest race in the series was the hairpin race which took over 2.5 h.
My right arm started to hurt after 2 hours as well as my back.

Even if going round the oval is easier than that hairpin track,
it'll be a good idea to have a second driver.

I use #38.

So the results from first qualify are thrown away ?

I wonder if there has any promotion happend for this event, since the first date ?

If not there will be unlikely more drivers.

I tested it ... and it is just as you both said.
If I constantly press the 'n' key I can't close via the exit button but
it still works with alt+f4.
Well at least it is not a big problem for ppl who are addicted to lfs .

Sound like a good explanation ... to bad I didn't check for any keys pressed accidently.

Yesterday, LFS application did not closing when pressing "exit" or using alt + f4 (/exit command).

Right before I tried to quit, I left a multiplayer game and got the red message
lost connection to host.

When I pressed the exit button I could see as message window appear with yes and no options. But it disappeared to fast to read the message or to press any of the buttons.

The only way I could close LFS was to switch to windowed mode and used the "X" button in the window caption.

This was the first time I got the error ... and I could not reproduce it so far.

Yeah that is possible but I have to choose how Throttle / brake axes are
assigned: combined | seperate | buttons.
If i say buttons 'A' does work but not axis, if I say seperate it is the other way round.

Yeah that was my first thought, but I can't assign an axis to a button in profiler that is working.
If I setup a new command and use a pedal, profile detects an axis movement.
But if i assign this command to a wheel button and press it inside LFS nothing happens.

I am looking for a possibility to assign an axis and a key to one function.
For instance, have brake function assigned to brake pedal and 'y' key.

So far I can only choose between keys, combinded pedals and seperate pedals.

Has anyone an idea how to get this working.

sorry didn't use the search option ...

If u do a pit stop and select a different tire compound than the one you are just using,
u don't have to wait for tire change.
U need to wait for changing the settings but this will only take 4 seconds after this u got a new set of tires.
A normal tire change of all tires takes about 13 seconds

Tested with the fxo gtr.
