To make it clear one last time. I did not make any decisions seconds or minutes before race2, nor during race1 or even on the same day. The idea, followed by decision, was born at the same time I created the race calendar. A long time ago, in other words.

Sharing this information with members of OLFSL is the part where I failed, and in my opinion which I have made clear that I'm sorry about.

However, all pools were driven with the same starting order, so the only unfairness lies in the wasted time and stategic planning T7R member(s) did (I assume there were no others, since there hasn't been complaints from other parties).

Me and BBO had a friendly chat after race, I can't remember stating anything different. That replay file he sent me was a life saver, which I was and am still thankfull. I recall I made that part clear also during the chat we had. (just checked the conversation we had to confirm this)

Bismarck's comment during the race (the one I wrote about above, several posts ago) I couldn't verify, because it has not been recorded in the mpr-files I have. Therefore I can't be sure what exactly he said (because I don't remember the exact words) and if it really was him (because I've seen no reply from him and because I might have mixed him with other T7R team member).

This is my last post here, for this conversation seems to be a bit pointless and looks like to be never ending story. We have gone through all the facts now I think - OLFSL staff will change and make the rules more specific, so there's no room for interpretation in future seasons. Also, I promise to be more carefull that I always inform about changes and specialities in our events/seasons - I'm still only human, and therefore able to make mistakes. Errare Humanum Est.

This bad balance with sprint & main was noted before and after race and will be fixed if events like this will happen in future too.

I was thinking about this when reading what Solar wrote. That's why I wanted to keep the difference between pools high enough, to create a motivation to do your best possible lap - and also obtain some experience too. There are flaws with the current pointing system, but so far I haven't seen any that would not. At the moment I'm giving to our current pointing, but as said before; this is an issue we are going to deal with the staff (like the rules too :nod.

About giving some "extra" points for fastest laps - in other words, to "Our Champs".. maybe we should do that finally. I originally dropped that idea because I thought that the guy who wins the pools, automaticly does the fastest lap also - which could have created a "Schumacher-effect", one guy dominating leaving no chance to racers behind. This has been proven to be wrong idea several times after that. Besides, if someone really is that good, why should he be "penalized" for that anyway

I know, but Bismarck's statement before race2 about me spoiling his race was kinda personal. I'm aware that this had nothing to do with you BBO, and I know and hope he didn't mean it that way, because I'm not doing this to spoil your fun and/or race. It's like HeerBommel (I think it was him, too lazy to browse thread) said - in middle of the race & action things look and feel different, and also feelings are much more stronger. I can understand that, I've experienced that several times. However, a mistake was done - nothing can erase it, it's history now.

Maybe we could leave it behind, and give "learning-experience" a chance (if you can grasp my point here).

Well, was that your humble opinion, or a provocation?

After experimenting several options, I think hotlaps are the best way to organize even pools. So some hotlapping is mandatory, it will also ensure some level of pratice for all racers, which will improve the racing experience further. So it's not just cruising around the track. Besides, one doesn't need to use a lot of time to get a decent position in grid, I did about 30 laps to get mine.

Your opinion about 3 points difference is noted, however.

As been said before, this is not a full-range season. Merely a short testing season - to test things

We will discuss about the points (and several other things) with the staff before OLFSL starts the first full range season.
