in options under player you can setup different users, this will keep your skins seperate, but you will have to change setups each time, maybe change the setup names to include your names

You will regret buying the S2 lisence.....

Don't flame me just yet....

After you buy the lisence, you will spend every spare minute you have playing this game, you will cease to have a social life!!!!!

Before you do that, I had a similar problem, although not to that extent that the brake was always on, slowing me down in races....

Download the newest drivers off their website

32 Bit Drivers

64 Bit Drivers

These are the new drivers through the forum, not the older one's from the main website. They are official Saitek drivers, give them a go first, seem to sort my pedals out!

In A1 Grand Prix race at Laguna Seca last weekend, Jos Verstappen (NL Driver) was asked what he thought of the first race (It was raining very hard, very dangerous), to which he replied, "It's Shit, it's not racing!"

I have the chance to pick up a new gfx card and have the choice of 2 at very similar price

nVidia Geforce 6600GT 128mb
Saphire ATI radeon X1600Pro 512mb

Which card will be better not only for LFS, but also others (Battlefield 2 hit's my current card the hardest...)

The upgrade cards are both AGP as no PCI-E as of yet

I have had car's destroyed worse than that before with the driver's whole body out of the car!

It's just a matter of everyone else smashing one particular car over and over.

It's just as easy to jump out the car park, and drive back into the car park through the wooden barrier (will dent the last bit of the car through)

Quote from ajp71 :As for this F1/F3000 having a turbo boost/fuel mapping change button it's bollocks, they do not end of story.

Actually they do....

If you listen to team radio they often ask the driver the change the engine map A B C or D, I don't know the specifics of what this actually does, but it definetley changes the rev limit....

It's all about making those engine's last!

Ventrillo is far more clear than teamspeak, I use both (Teamspeak for Battlefield 2 and Ventrillo for FLS) and personally find ventrillo far superior!

The FM server, they don't speak German all the time, and when the english members are on the server, we actually tell them off for speaking German, it's the only way they'll learn English!!!!!

This is the improvement I need, if like me you downlaoded the setupfield pack and the easy drive pack, yoou can get way too many setups for each car, Renaming them all the the tracks abbreviation is a good idea, but it would still be nice to be able to keep the pit screen clean and just show the 1 or 2 setups relevant for the track you are sat on!

Do NOT use the latest catalyst drivers, there are several threads on this issue with the ATI drivers (5.12/5.13 drivers are very bad with LFS), try going back to catalyst V 5.11....

Hope this helps!

From The Logitech site.....

"When I start my driving game my car's brakes/gas are permanently on and I can't stop my car from reversing/moving forward. Why is this?
The R440's pedals can be set up in two different configurations - Combined (2 axis) or Separate (3 axis), provided you have downloaded the driver from our downloads page. What this means is that in Combined mode the pedals act much like a joystick would - they become two halves of the same axis so pushing the gas pedal would be like pushing a joystick forward and pushing the brake pedal would be like pulling the stick back. Most games support this type of axis for the gas and brake actions. The Separate mode gives each of the pedals their own independent axis - much like in real life, you can press both pedals at the same time and get response from them whereas pressing both pedals together in Combined mode just cancels any movement out. Some of the more modern racing games allow for this separate axis mode for added realism however if the wheel is set to Separate mode in a game that does not support it then it will behave as if the gas or brake are held down permanently. To solve this simply go into the Properties screen for the wheel in Game Controllers/Gaming Options and untick the box that says Operate Pedals Separately and the game should then respond correctly."
