Quote from JJ72 :getting into the Mclaren for the second season I don't know. But being 2 sec faster than expert AI on Bahrain is actually pretty common pace for seasoned drivers. Given that the Mclaren is about .5 sec off the redbulls in the beginning of the season, that isn't actually unbelievable.

What I meant was getting offered a drive in the Mclaren with Button in the first season
and he's supposed to be on the highest level for seven years is bullshit.
the thing is about this game is you can qualify on expert and then race on an easier level or vice versa.
then they come on the forums saying how easy the game is, myself I think it's pathetic.

Quote from rc10racer :After my first season i got offered to drive for Mclaren with Button (Lewis came 2nd in the championship with Button coming in 6th :shrug. After doing FP1 at Bahrain i was 1.9 secs faster then vettel at the end of the session even thou i only did 3 laps because i hit the barrier and broke my right rear suspension.

I have AI set to legendary, no assists, tyre wear and fuel simulation are both on so i guess that's me done with the game until someone sets the AI to be faster.

Yeah right. :sleep2:

how come everybody is only just starting to talk about this. CodeMasters never said F1 2010 was going to be
a full-blown Formula One simulator. They said it was going to be a mixture of arcade and simulator,
so that anybody who brought the game would be able to start racing straight away with only a short learning curve,
And that's exactly what they have done.
If you don't like hitting the brakes to straighten the car out then don't do it. I'd be very surprised if anyone here
would be able to straighten out a Formula One car anyway. What I do if there is space is floor the accelerator and keep the car
spinning until it faces the right way.

F1 2010 is a good looking Formula One game nothing more and the patch will probably be out soon
well it won't be 2 years anyway making it a better game, and if it was an F1 simulator we'd all be moaning
because me wouldn't get the car round the track. haha remember top gear Richard Hammond.

Quote from Highsider9 :The Slicks keep the same (dry) Grip level if it starts to Rain during a Session. If the Session starts with Rain then the Grip levels are correct.

So how come that doesn't happen on my game, no sooner I start getting spray from the tyres
I'm all over the place, makes me think there is more than one version of this game doing the rounds.
The only bug I've had is the sound bug. No problems with pitting corrupted save files, punchers
except when I keep going off-line when I don't know the track.

I got my game yesterday played for about seven hours and I can honestly say I've never
enjoyed a racing game so much. Fighting with the AI was a pleasure, graphics are brilliant.
The only bug I had was the sound lag putting it on software helped a bit.
There is only one part of the game I didn't enjoy and that was the pits, if only they'd let us
drive the car in the pits ourselves. Are well can't have everything I suppose.

Quote from ATC Quicksilver :I love all the sim racing snobs, the physics are good enough for the actual F1 drivers to enjoy, but not realistic enough for the spotty nerd that's never driven a car before.

nice one.
I was wondering when we was going to get posts like this from people who actually think they know how
a Formula One car should act on a race track. It's been tested by Formula One drivers who say
it's better than the Formula One simulators they actually use. I put it down to waiting two years
for the physics update it must be really frustrating for them.

Quote from DejaVu :Hardly a rip off, was only 26 quid compared to 29.99

it's £29.99 Now when I ordered mine it was only £24.99 PC version.
If you pre-order from steam you can download the game right now to your PC you just can't play it.
All I'm saying is why make people wait till Friday night, it's only an unlocking code.

Don't think it's got anything to do with the game or the wheel to be honest.
There's been enough formula 1 drivers testing this game.
I just don't think this man nose what he is doing. lol

Quote from Bose321 :I doubt he is even allowed to say like, No, it sucks big time, it's just another codemasters arcade trash game, I think the people at the stand wouldn't be happy with him :P

Why the hell would a man in his position need to lie about a game?.
It's not going to be arcade it's going to be both. Arcade and simulation, if you follow the game you would know that.
In every single post that I've read where people have actually played the game theres not one that as said a bad thing about the car physics, and don't forget the game they're playing at these game shows is not the finished version.

Quote from DejaVu :Might be arcadey damage but looks 10x better than gt5's. Hopefully i won't be seeing much damage apart from nubs online and the ai hitting each other Graphics look gorgeous, and gameplay/physics looks satisfying enough for my tastes. Roll on release day, will it be on steam?

yes it will be on steam.

EDIT

So arcady damage then

the computers that were running at Gamescom wasn't up to scratch,
the game was on medium settings.

I'm just glad we've actually getting a Formula One game coming out soon that looks amazing.
And with Anthony Davidson who tests the cars and tracks maybe we'll get good physics as well as a good-looking game.
Roll on the 24th

this video shows some crash damage.
