As Cornys says, stay out of trouble and stay on the lead lap, then you will make pretty good results
And don't mess with admins, that's a bullet proof way to loose positions

Since I'm a really poor qualifier and a poor hotlapper, that's the golden tactic for me ... and it works for sure. Was up to third position at PS3 4 laps to go, but was hit from behind then at last restart, so not really much to do about that.
Still proves Cornys is correct, take it easy and play it tactical, takes two to dance a tango so be faithful to whoever wanna dance with you, and suddenly you find yourself in a great position when only a few laps remains

Quote from Cornys :... but I made my way up to 7th at once point and I made a bad decision to bump draft Jonathon and lost my partner and gave Jonathon mine ...

Hehe .. yea it was a little confusing when u just left me Cornys, after you had lost your first partner and i started to bump you and i thought this will be great . I had some contact with your partner after u had passed me, honestly I don't know what caused it but I think it was a racing incident caused by both of us ....
Dammed hard to bump Jonathon cus he had more lag than u so i think we could have made it further up in the field

But Jonathon was faithful to me after u left me, really appreciate that
Kind of funny i didn't think about when we got on the last lap ... then i realized it after T3 and just barely managed to draft around Jonathon

Guys, if u are all alone and see me in the mirror .. go high and let me pick u up as a partner, I promise not to let u down then for sure

Quote from Sobis :That whisper thing:
1. Join Ident-Racing TS3 server
2. Settings>Options>Whisper>Whisper lists
3. On the left corner press 'New', then press a whishper button (for example I use F8 to contact all RN channels, including race control and team sub-channels).
4. Add whisper channels from the right field to the middle one.

Great, got that part now
But how do I use. I tried it after the session, but when i hit the button I see a red dot at Race Control, but it disappears when I release the button ... so when do I speak?

Great racing today, was 3:rd at the last restart but someone behind was a little hasty so i was flipped sideways just before the green flag occurred ... think that started the whole mess then ...
Well, shit happens, ended up 5:th, very pleased with that

GREAT Thanks to 14 R.Major for all the laps you pushed me , man you were a really fast pusher ... didn,t see how u disappeared .. hope u just went to pit

Quote from Cornys :I've not been feeling the greatest the last couple of days and I fell behind on a few things....

IRL life sucks Cornys Hope you get well soon

One (stupid) Q
How do I get in contact with admins on TS if I'm in our IRM room? Do you monitor all the chat from all the sub rooms ... or is it some function in TS I should use?

Also hope that everybody attending today have read this important thread by Cornys:
http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=82044

EDIT: Thanks Sobis for the gret tutorial below how to use the whisper function

One of my top 10 combos for sure. Lots of tricky breaking points ensure lots of overtaking oppurtunites. XRG/XFG always produces tight and hard fights all over the field.

Drivers that fail to follow this conduct of honour and misplace themselves on the wrong Q-server might be taken out of the qualification by TR Admins

General Q behaviour.
- ALL drivers MUST check the "minimap" for upcoming drivers driving there hotlap.
- If you are on outlap/inlap you MUST let drivers on hotlap stay on their racing line and let hotlap driver pass in a safe way.

Think this sessions was much better than the first one, at least from the view of my window

Would never had reached my 4:th place without some great help from two superb pushers, 52 Korený and 69 Huovinen
Especially Huovinen gave lots of fast lap with him stuck in my rear . Didnt work as well when I did the push, mainly because im not that good at that ... and you had a little lag as well Huovinen so I didn't dare to challenge it to hard risking both ending up in the wall

Looking forward to Saturday, will be on for sure!

And as usual, lots of Thanx to the Admins

Thanks Admins for a fun event
... but why is there always nagging and harsh language on the chat after the race ... take that in the protest tread guys after watching the replay ... things are not always what they seems to be from your position in your car so it's no meaning arguing 1 min after the checker flag has dropped.
Really like these event with required practise events, much more fun out of the event then . And hopefully the actual race will be done on a higher driver standard then

I got one Q to the admins.

I think I was side bumped out of track at the first 2 PC laps. (Haven't seen replay so I don't know for fact)
I just continued at the very end of the field this time, but can I reclaim my position in a case like that (IF I consider I'm not to blame for the incident)?
How do I reclaim my position?
Should I ask for perm to speak on the chat?
Or just drive back to my original position?

This rule is more like a recommendation, to avoid very slow drivers driving Q on A, and also to avoid fast drivers doing there Quali on B nagging on slow drivers at B.

The rule was added when we changed to "hard-core-quali" and there were a lots of concerns from some fast drivers that their Q would be spoiled by slower drivers.

In general I think its working ok now, but if you feel there are extremely slow drivers on A, pls let the admins know! Usually I also spam you on the LFS chat with some basic rule reminders before the Q starts, including reminding slow drivers to do there Q on B :-)

OK, then I know, usually I write it as tyre so i might as well stick to that
Are there any skins regulation or can we use whatever as long as the number match, as in the Indy race some weeks ago?

I'll be on the grid Corny

One stupid Q from a native Swede born with a strange language far from english
Read this in the ingress of this tread:
"-Ability to race predictably on R2 or R3 slick racing tires (tyres) at KY1"

Are both spellings of tires/tyres correct ... had that Q in my mind for a long time. I suspect the UK guys will tell me one answer and the US guys another ....
... and the Aussies a third maybe :-)

Also encourage all drivers to read this post on the NDR forum:
http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?p=1770055#post1770055
Then taking a minute and thinking it over ...

Although I'm not in any NDR league at the moment I agree 100% with you Deko
I think a good summary is this quote from your post:

Quote :Please, work to self-police driving standards, be more sporting, be less aggressive, keep your emotions in check. Contact is of course always possible, but avoid it at all costs.

Guess this goes for the ongoing RN leagues as well ... there was some very aggressive driving last Indy-race on KY ...

Will post a link to this forum thread on our team site

Thanx admins for all the work you put in to running this cup

Overall it was a really fun event, although I was taken out 3 times, seriously damaged at the 3:rd yellow flag incidents I didn't think I should be able to get the car back to pit, couldn't steer to the left so I had to do a lot of reverse gearing to manage it to steer to the left. Was on the leading lap P10 when it happened ... costed me 7 laps to get back on th track again ...

So I really agree with an earlier comment (Jettascuba), people should pay much more respect at the restart and not just diving into the pack ahead, instead of just waiting for the tires to get some heat and the pack to get a little bit spread out ...

Don't wanna bother admins with any protest thou ... think they are busy enough with what they got so far

Next up KY400, that will be awesome

First time ever i raced on a "parking lot track". Was more fun than I had expected for sure.

When I got into the server and saw your lap times I first decided to skip the event in order to not be a moving blocker, but I reconsidered after some live practise when I found out a tactic to handle blueflag, thought going high and slightly slow down in the turn was the best way to do it.

Race tactic was to drive consistent and not taking any stupid battles, rather stay on the track without any crashing. Worked out pretty good, got to the checker flag as 7:th car totally exhausted

As usual many thanx to admins taking your time to let us have fun at your events.
Next event at KY will be super fun
