Quote from lizardfolk :I also want some information on the series.

Is it popular? How big is the field? How many races/venues are there? Finally how much does it cost to field a team?

If you have $, you can make a 1600cc FWD DTM Style car to join it

all the circuits in LFS is build with the environment, you can see the trees near the road, following the lay of the land to up & down hill, just like Monza.

but, the new circuits is build on a very wide place, just like Shanghai. designer can do all the things he want, spectators can see all of the circuit.

Quote from Hyperactive :When I think about old westhill I get something more like this:

(instead of an oval the old westhill should be more like an old 'ring )

no, the hair pin is "too" tight

Quote from samjh :AFAIK, only two drivers have raced at night: David Coulthard and Sebastien Bourdais. Both of them in Le Mans 24-Hours races:
* Coulthard in 93 in a GT Jaguar but was disqualified (illegal exhaust).
* Bourdais in 99-02 in LMP900 (DNF, 4th, 4th, 10th), 04 (DNF) and 07 (2nd) in LMP1.

(Mark Webber also competed in Le Mans 24-Hours in 99, but his car flipped during practice and didn't race).

The problem I think, will be if there is heavy rain. Floodlights will wreak havoc with the spray. Light rain might be tolerable, but heavy rain would result in red-flagging, IMHO.

Bourdais has many formula night race experience in champ car

Quote from Sheepyfun :Well.. a alternative layout from westhill would be nice, i like the track
But it dont need to be a faster one i think..

Also the idea of the smaller oval (then kyoto) its also i nice option
Something like "new hampshire" http://www.nhms.com/ will be a lot of fun with tbo or fbm i think

but little "bug" in your paint
the north corner of the oval cant be on this position
because of the (camber?) of the corner No2 of westhill..
i think you know what i mean

see ya on track

just like monza: overcross it
or make a tunnel

Monza is a very old high speed track, for the safety reason, some chicane was added after 1962.

Westhill is a very fast track with some chicane, so it maybe just like Monza, no chicane in early year.

so, I hope that we can have a westhill 1950 track

Quote from S14 DRIFT :Uh... we have an Oval. It's called KY_Oval or something.. One is more than enough.

As for the Monza track, unlikely since that's a stupidly long straight without the chicane.... wait and see what new tracks are released in the coming months / millenia.

Monza oval is different..........
a hole high speed circuit and oval?
