Hi all.
I'm new (that is, extremely new) to skinning, graphics editing and such...
I've just d'loaded The Gimp and the CMX Viewer (nice one!).
I've made a copy of a XFG jpg default skin and "worked" on it a bit, adding new layers.
When saving, I saved a copy of the layered xcf file for future memory, and saved the jpg too. A box warning me about transparencies popped up...I clicked on Export...
CMX Viewer now says it can't open the jpg file
What am I doing wrong ?
Thanks.
Edit: I opened a psd template (one of those from http://www.lfs-gear.com/kitz.html), added something and resized it to 1024x1024 jpg...quite embarassing with you skin-gurus, but I should say it works!
After some more work with The Gimp, I think it was a problem with the jpg file name: it was too long for the CMX Viewer.
I searched info on forums here, and I thought it was pretty simple, but...my friend keeps on getting an "Invalid Voucher" message :-(
Please help!!
My Paypal payment was confirmed,
On my license and payment details page on lfs.net, I can see I have made 2 payments (one when I bought my S2 in September, one today, both 24£),
On the same line of the 2 payments I have 2 different codes: I guess I entered the first one for my license (don't remember exactly), and the other one is the Voucher Code
Under these lines it says "List of vouchers used 0". Do I need to activate my Voucher somehow before giving it to my buddy ?
He just created a new account and he's a legally registered Demo user, both on website and ingame,
I gave him the Voucher Code over the phone, he enters it in his license detail page, and he keeps on getting the described error. UH!
I'm sure I'm missing something, just don't know where and what !!!
Please..............
Edit: of course I was missing something...I just had to check the correct e-mail account, and NOT the wrong one, wondering about how slooooooow was Voucher e-mail....sorry for false alarm, my bad !!

Hi there.
I'm browsing the monitor and the screenshots forums, but I wasn't able to find an answer.
How does LFS behave with wide screen resolutions ? Any known issue ?
Does it just show "more" world on both sides ? Does it place black stripes at top and bottom screen ?
I saw many posts where wide screens are largely suggested as a good buy, so I guess there must not be major annoyances...
What I wanted to know, though, when you write "You still get all the old DFP buttons just not the new ones yet", you mean/know/think that it will be fully supported in the future ? I know you're not a Logitech support employee, but what's your guess/experience ?
My fear is that those dials and things are too much PlayStation specific, but maybe I'm wrong.
Hi all.
I never had a wheel before, and yesterday I was going to buy the DFGT, then I refrained. And today I find this thread...doesn't sound like it is a much loved wheel over here...
Anyway, you old-time drivers, do you think that Logitech will support it with nice Windows drivers one day? I heard that it must be used with the DFP drivers, and some buttons and/or dials don't work with the pc.
What is your experience with Logitech/Wingmanteam support over the years?
If I buy one, can I be sure that I'll find correct drivers soon or later?
Yes, it could easily be I'm wrong, I don't know.
While I was counting all my translated files, checking for errors, I just noticed one file was missing...
I just pointed it out here because it's the one and only file with filename different from all the others.
Since no one else noticed it, probably it's not a bug, it's only my noobiness !!
I have just finished translating training in italian.
I'll start double checking tomorrow (now I'm dead tired and my eyes are going ).
While working on mine, I spotted a "bug" in the file naming of a single Galician lesson...in the "Westhill Testdrive - Galego.txt", the FO8 car name is missing...
I'll soon post my translation here.
Edit1: I just submitted it to the guys at DrivingItalia.NET, and I'm waiting for feedback.
Edit2: Submitted to PLZ-Team too.
Edit3: More or less 60 downloads totalled...
Edit4: Submitted to my flight-sim mates (who also like some "ground" action).
Edit5: Seems everyone's satisfied with it. Made few minor corrections.
Edit6: Submitted final corrected version to the 3 sites above, waiting for final feedback. I'll post it here in one or two days.
It happened yesterday to me too. Every racer went LAG and disappeared...then after a short while I was disconnected.
By the time I found the solution on the forums, < than 5 minutes, the problem solved by itself (I mean, without the need of reactivating S2, as I found posted here somewhere).
