Exactly my point, Live for Speed has potential to evolve, to become something different. LFS is made as a racing simulator, but at one point, it might transcend into an absolute driving simulator, where all things vehicle related could be possible. All that is in a distant future, one has to dream..
S2 to S3 gap was 10 years, so, by my immense brainpower and calculations, I predict S4(with new graphic and physics) comes in 2025, 10 years after S3. Big Brein
I've contacted the server owner, no response yet, but other more regular players are saying that the server restarts daily, so it might not be the 49.7 day bug, unsure yet. I'll update when owner replies
I know, it's an old meme, just messing around with that one..
LCS Cruise Server, but players are being affected, since even though they left LCS, they're still "online" on LCS, and can't join other servers, which is an issue
Servers just froze, most players left, those who left cannot rejoin. Whole game froze, InSim is still engageable, along with chat, but most other stuff is broken. I giv more info later
I don't think this'd be needed, since there is an official graphics update coming(one day). Other than that, why'd you even want to change the current game's textures, I think they look fairly okay and their performance is exceptional.
To add onto this, I don't understand why people want high fidelity graphics in a racing simulator, where the driving should be the absolute upmost focus, not visual fidelity. Forza Motorsport is one example of what not to do with a "racing" game.
I've always wondered why not expand the development team, even by just 1 person, it'd surely make the workflow more efficient.
I understand that funding might be an issue, but I think it'd be worth the investment. You yourself mentioned that you haven't yet touched the tyre physics because of the mod-related issues. Why not hire a person, even temporarily, to work on issues like the mod system, while you focus your work on the tyre physics or something more major like that?
This would be amazing! I also wanted to suggest this a few weeks ago but totally forgot. It's been really difficult finding a good BCR setting for nice throttle input for acceleration and braking for preventing lockups, my sweet spot for now is 3.99.
That'd be a cool idea, 99.9% chance it won't ever happen but still, a dream is a dream. Reminds me of Need For Speed World with the multiple connected cities from previous NFS games
Recently I dabbled in a bit of rFactor 1 racing, and I crashed a lot. What I found interesting is that in rFactor some basic parts of the car detach when crashed ie. wheels, front/rear wing, sidepods and similar.
Of course it doesn't happen always, just with major high-speed crashes
I think it'd be pretty neat to have something similar in Live for Speed
Wow! I'm in awe, this is simply amazing. Thank you for staying so dedicated and persistent towards pushing LFS to improve! I hope scawen sees this and actually considers this

Holy macaroni, what the hell are those specs? If I was you I'd just buy a better computer, those specs were horrible by 2016 standards, and it's 2024 . Money shouldn't be an issue since an 80€ PC should be stronger than what you have
