It's very doable, with S3 you get the tools needed to create an autocross track and of course the LFS Editor, used to create mod cars. Now, you could either:
1. Make your own autocross layouts and car mods
2. Collaborate with someone on making both
3. Commission someone to do it for you
Now, I think there is a mod C5 corvette already in the game, with derivatives open, so you can take that and edit it so it fits your spec more, with weight and power etc. And autocross layouts aren't much of a pain to make.
Edit: nvm, the c5 mod is not open for derivatives, my mistake
Exactly, why is more security so bad? Even if we follow all of cuni's instructions in his first post in this thread, your account can still be compromised, more is always better.
I'm not saying that 2FA absolutely needs to be implemented right now,I don't want to slow the actual game update progress at all. I just wanted to see what thoughts of other people are on the topic. I agree with gu3st that more seperation between the game and the accoutn is better, but also cuni has a good point as in not to prioritise this.
Looking at the recent forum posts about account breaches and stuff, I wondered why LFS doesn't have a two-factor authentication system? I think it could be a good addition as an optional choice for additional account security, via phone number or similar. I don't know how feasible this is technially, but is an interesting discussion point, what do other users think?
Since I've started working on my own game, my respect for LFS devs grew significantly. You don't think of the fact that the AI system is years old, and that making a change is not just a simple "script", you'd have to rewrite most of it and it'd take a lot of time. Then you'd have to test that script to fix any bugs you may have created when rewriting. It's a lot of work for a fairly minor thing at this current moment
They don't because the physics are not completely implemented, due to the bikes behavior being different than cars. Bikes exist only as a fun thing you can do in LFS.
One of the key parts of racing is knowing how to manage your tyres, that means you indeed have to learn to drive the car without overheating the tyres, aswell as keeping them in the optimum temp range over all wear levels. LFS is, as michal said, a simulator, henceforth it tends to be as true to real life as the technology allows, which is why freezing temps shouldn't ever be an option
The cars are possible through modding using an S3 license and LFS Editor. The street "map" will be possible when the new revamp of South City comes, although it won't be Arab-style.
I've used head tracking a bit long time ago, as far as my memory serves, LFS automatically recognises the head tracking and puts you into the appropriate mode. I used opentrack with AITrack, using my phone to track my head, worked pretty well!
I mean, modern phones can quite decently emulate sixth gen game consoles (PS2, Xbox, Dreamcast etc etc.), so not that surprising LFS runs on mobile . I wonder what the limit to emulation is on mobile, thanks for inspiration
I think you can locally edit your skin, I don't see much use of this for online, since suits are visible like 0.001% of the time. Helmets are quite enough, in my opinion.
