This could actually be so hot with a few tire sizing changes. Instead of 225/40/17 it would be better with 225/20/18s. Tire wall should be less than what it is now.
The suspension immediately breaks when driving it around any course. You should take that as a sign that a car is way too cartoony. Just went to the editor, dragged all the downforce sliders to max and dragged the fenders out to be as ugly as possible.
And the car only weighs 435 kg? Is it made of paper?
I had my doubts when I saw it's on linear suspension, HOWEVER
This feels alright! I do agree with Jake where it could only feel better on proper suspension.
I do notice also when I make a new drift setup from the existing one, the front suspension raises. I wanna slam it on its nuts but I can't when I make a new setup.
I really want to like this car. However the handling is some of the worst I have driven since LFS mods have come out. This car could use a suspension upgrade to be drivable.
Again (and I can't stress this enough) it would be a server to server basis whether this is on or not. A SETTING to turn on or off. Naturally it would be turned off in an endurance race server.
One problem I'm having is getting the headlights to turn on.
Is it not possible to duplicate the l_head texture and have it work to turn on both lights? The top l_head is for the outer light and the bottom l_head is for the inner light. Inner lights are not turning on.
This is what I was saying! Sorry if the original post was confusing, I'm ONLY talking about tire temperatures here....
...I did not mention anything about infinite fuel and damage off! hahaha
Plus I was thinking about this further: Ideally with the temperature lock on, it would disable LFS lap personal bests and the such. To keep the best times as the realistic times.
This was on my mind as well. I know new tire physics are coming and I completely understand if the dev team would rather keep working on that than provide a temporary solution now. I just saw with the rise of more high horsepower drift cars coming along that it would be really helpful for the time being.
Here's to new tire models helping towards this problem in the future!
This is drifting we're talking about here, not much "carefulness" to go around.
UPDATE V2:
- Brake lights are now visible
- Updated suspension to be Double Wishbone. Much better handling and wheel input as a result.
- Added roll cage
- Removed rear seats
- Added new custom colors
