Hotlaps for deciding pools is a great idea, some people can have alot of time to spend hotlapping and some dont...hell its sometimes hard to get the time to race on Sundays (especially if your married )

Although I was in Pool 3 and I had done about 20 hotlaps, I dont think that I would have improved that welll if I done 120 hotlaps, your either fast or not (in may case not :P)

Right now I have more spare time to practice , due to the fact my wife is working different working times, but that can all change next month, so in the full season I probably wont be able to practice all that much.

The point system works well in my opinion, ususally the hotlap times are soo close that you could just miss out in pool1. If HeerBommel's idea came to play you would lose alot of points just because you are 0.01 of a second slower.

So a person finished 1st in Pool2 gets the points as the person finishing 11th in pool1, is the right? can it be? well yes.

For example 0.32 seconds was the hotlap difference between 11th in pool1's hotlap and 1st in pool2's hotlap, not a great deal but HeerBommel's idea would mean that Pool2's 1st is worth less than pool1's 11th :s... na I like the point system as it is.

The pools are fairly organised.

Well I have a few things to say:

Firstly, FienDi did come into the Pool 3 Server and stated to Richard Torp that the second race was not to start in reverse order and there was no complaints, even tho it was just after the sprint race. (atleast thats what I remembered, and good fun was had )

Secondly I appriciate all of the OLFSL crew's hard work, and if it wasn't for them I probably wouldn't be in a league, when I first started playing LFS this was the league I joined and I aint turned back, I got lots of help and they use a fair system so that we all race with someone similary paced.

Thirdly I kindly ask you setup a PayPal donation on your site(or something similar), I would gladly donate something every now and then
I know you are not asking for money in any form, but I am sure I am not the only one you would like to help.

Fourthly Unfortunately I can not help with hosting as I only have 128Kb upload speed (soon to be 256Kb tho). Also I know very little web programming (But I can edit pages ), but if there is anyway I can help share the workload you all have please ask, I'll do anything I can

Surely in league race if you go straight to pits (i.e. via the menu) you get a DNF?

OK my career history

Left High School after 6 years (remember this is Scotland I am talking about, 4 years Standard grand leve, 2 years Higher Level (A-Level))
College 1 Year NC (National Certificate) Electronic and Electrical Engineering
College 2&3rd Year HND (Higher National Diploma) Electronic and Electrical Engineering
Got a job as a PCB(Printed Circuit Board) Debugger, and then moved up to a PCB Test Engineer. During this time I went to night classes for an HNC in Computing.
After 3.5 years I got a job (with the same Company) as a Software Technician (basically software tester) after 4 years and some on the Job training I became a Software Engineer and I now write programs in C++

It wasn't easy I did have to study alot, but as it was something I was/am interested in made it a bit easier.

So thats a little Pabs History ... ZZZzzzZZZzzz :P
