Quote from SCA-F1 :Seems like I'm really pissing off the Finns in their defence of world's greatest driver just cos he's a Finn, great success.

You're pissing off sensible people, because regardless of the validity of your arguments, you're unable to express them without coming across as a douchebag. Juzaa is clearly very biased.

Web vs Mal was Webber's fault, Mas vs Web was Massa's fault. Web was fully alongside, even partly past and had the right to use the outside line all the way through the corner, but Massa went in too hot. Just like Perez went in too hot, which is why DR had nowhere to go. Perez had loads of space to his right that he chose not to drive into.

Perez got the penalty as a combination of both incidents, if it would have been just for the FI, it would probably have been a DT, not a 10 second S&G.

They were alongside, DR was on the inside for the left hander. Why should he concede anything?

Fully alongside (to the FI) means that he has to leave a car's width of space. He drove all the way to the left apex instead, forcing a car off. Subsequent contact was silly, because he went completely off the track and tried to gain a position by doing so.

Quote from theodu69 :
CPW for nothing

Yep, this is happening. I have absolutely no mods, addons insims, or anything else. Completely standard, and got CPW'd after spectating for about 20 seconds right after joining the server.

I'm so happy :') Although, it's outrageous that the top 2 don't lose their fastest laps. The drivers' briefing covered the places where 4 wheels may be put over the white line. There's only one spot, and both the front row drivers are infringing. Is the whole point in having rules so that there is something to ignore?

A while back when I needed to replace my computer, I downloaded the LFS installer, extracted it with 7z and then copy pasted the LFS-proper from it to Program Files (x86). That prompted for elevation, but since then there have been no issues. LFS doesn't run as elevated, it unlocked fine, saves setups and downloads skins no problem.

Also, what is the logic in not being able to run LFS properly from Program Files anyway, LFS is a program after all.. Ideally, the static components should reside in PF and the rest under a user's profile folder.

- Installing to Program Files (x86), installed to ~\LFS. Uninstalled correctly.
- Installing to Program Files (x86)\LFS, installed correctly. Uninstalled correctly.
- Installing to Program Files (x86) twice, installed to ~\LFS and ~\LFS2. Both uninstalled correctly.

However, there is one annoying issue with this. Installing to any protected folder requires admin rights, and installation fails by default. Similarly uninstalling from a protected folder fails, but it fails silently: Success is reported, menu items are removed, but folders and files remain without notification. I don't ever have to manually select run as admin when un/installing other software to Program Files, so this to me is not expected behaviour.

Solution: Please make the un/installer automatically ask for elevated rights.

Quote :- The Sim now supports the ability to drive using a [...] mouse.

Anyone able to give a lowdown on how it compares to LFS mouse?

It implies that whatever folder the user selects, \LFS is created in it.

It's really a matter of perspective, I've seen it happen both ways over the years. A little bit of clarification, and it's fine.

Have you tried using a pre-installed/extracted LFS instead or running the installer in Wine? You should be able to extract the installer and copy all of the relevant files from there. LFS doesn't need to be "installed" to work.

Really difficult to say anything constructive as your stats show you as having driven a total of 5 miles online. Some server names and more detailed descriptions of the circumstances of these crashes may help. Generic advice for new people: start at the back, stay out of the way, don't start by being too aggressive. If you literally cannot drive a single lap without spinning, missing braking points, driving lines etc. please do practice offline a little bit.

I'd played F1GP first and thought the graphics were fairly good. Then I played ICR at a friend's and wow it was amazing I went ahead and tried Indy500 a while back, and it's funny how I struggled to make sense of what I see, even though it was perfectly fine back in the day..
