I have been upgrading my P.C. alot lately so I have also been experiencing some technical dificulties while doing it causing me to forget about the limit on unlocks and now I cannot unlock it once again till next month. Is there any other way shy of just buying another copy to get around this?
The oval appears easy...it is not...I started dabbling into it but got bored/frustrated as well so I took a break. I did some other tracks and focused on rF for a bit. I came back a few months later and decided to give it another go and started putting some focused effort on actually learning the proper lines and driving tecniques for this track (of which I am still only scratching the surface) doing hotlaps before getting back to the public servers. I found and have to agree that the more I learned the more I realized how little I actually do know about this track. This track is just as rewarding as any other the better you get at it. It's all a matter of personal preference.
I still prefer LFS over it...I had to try it b/c of the hype and the future mods that will be released....after playing it for the last 12 hours or so and going back to LFS...LFS simply feels better and works better...it is not as resource hungry on a computer and in my opinion just works better...At least LFS states openly it is still in its Alpha version (which still beat the supposed final version of rF). I simply think ISI marketed it like a average movie with alot of hype but bottom line its NOT all that. Looks very cartoonish. The physics for the f1 cars is questionable. Alot of ppl seeing it as simply a F1C with better netcode...I will give it that the online play is good. The fan crowd seems to have very mixed opinions of it at their forum. Some are simply upset while others are in denial...bottom line...we all paid $40.00 for a average product that is relying on the community to develop it further so ISI can move on and develop their next great game.
oops...you are right...this isnt the improvement thread. I will have to try what you said...I was thinking in terms of GPL as far as the damage is concerned...then again those were based on much older cars which most likely were able to be blown much easier than modern day engines.
actual f1 cars producing 950bhp with redlines of 19500 rpm capable of braking from 200+mph to 0 in under 3 seconds. The f08 is not that (nor do I think it was ever intended of being it).
Nice setup...I also have a 9800pro and a 2500+m overclocked to 2.5 ghz...my question is I have a 2nd 19" crt in my closet which will match up with the 1 that I am currently using but dont know how to have to game span across the 2 of them like you did. Could you please tell me how you did it.
The rest of the specs on my system are:
abit nf7-s mobo running merlin bios
2500+m at 2.5+ghz
512 gskill LA memory at 2-2-2-8 at 225fsb
saphire 128mb 9800pro
