Quote from The Very End :Well it could be worse. You could have been assaulted and raped by a shemale. Compared to that even this bunch of imbreed mongoloids on LFSForum makes it an O.K evening!

That doesn't have to be bad actually..

Thanks for the advice TVE, watch out, as soon as I find that porn video, it's coming to this forum

I have yet to see is it gone or not. I'll know once I try to download a few things. I tried clicking a few links already, but none offered to download "setup.exe" so it might be over, but as I said, I'll see in the near future.

I see you argue about getting locations but you don't argue about Maps. I really can't figure out why.

BTW, I'm out of ideas on how to fight Apples, so I think I'm out for today.

Thanks Wait for Dustin and his response: Macs work perfectly and never make funny noises...

I ran AVG and Malwarebytes and they did find a few. I think I'm gonna be fine for some time now. I think I should stop looking for TVE's porn videos on suspicious websites, that could also help.

TVE, it's not about the hatred, it's about the rage of all the Apple fanboys that makes us do this fighting

But, anyway, I wouldn't trade my SIII Mini for an iPhone 5 even if they gave me $1000 with it. Or maybe I would, but I would sell it right away and buy a S4

Quote from MadCatX :This is the reason why keeping a separate system partition is a good idea...

I do have 4 partitions. But who said that the virus hides on the system partition?

Quote from Bose321 :There's only one solution. Get a Mac. They cannot have viruses.

But seriously, I haven't been using any AV for years, and not a single thing. It only slows down your system.

I'd like to get a Mac so I could have something to laugh at when I'm sad
Maybe you just don't know you don't have any

The biggest virus on Apple devices is Apple themselves. Remember Apple maps? Also, I think they were the first to say that their users will be tracked all the time and that their location will be stored, right?

iPhone is not a good phone. A friend of mine said she will buy an iPhone 4S. I recommended her to buy a Galaxy S3 or an Xperia (not sure which one is it) for the same money. She was like, I know these are better, but an iPhone is more cool. And now it's like she's a superstar, which she actually wanted. Oh and one time, she asked me to do something on her iPhone (change something in settings) which I could locate and change in like 10 seconds on any Android and guess what: there was no setting to change what she wanted. Talk about iPhone having all the features Android has.

Oh and yeah, it's not the products that make us hate Apple. It's the people using/creating/selling them that make us hate Apple. Also, Android always had better features than any iOS and it probably always will.

Quote from MadCatX :If there is a chance that your Internet traffic was being monitored, you should reinstall Windows as a security measure. You never know what kind of information might the malware be distributing...

I'll see if I notice anything weird and do the most appropriate thing. The biggest problem with the format of my HDD would be that I don't have anything to backup all my stuff.

Quote from Racer X NZ :Next time just download the drivers from the HP site, well organised and easy to find. Avoid driver managers or crappy websites offering drivers like the plague, which is often what they are. Generally there run by out of work nigerians.

I was downloading the drivers from the official HP site. That's why it was so suspicious.

I have AVG and Malwarebytes. I'm gonna scan (Confession bear: I didn't scan my laptop since I bought it and that's like for 4 months.) it today. I also have some boot scan software (I think it's from Kaspersky), I'll try with that if my main protection doesn't find anything.
Suspicious stuff with downloading (maybe a virus)

Full story: (there's a shorter version at the end of the post)
I was installing drivers on two laptops this week for my friends (both were HP) and sometimes when I clicked on download it downloaded (edit: offered me to download actually) a "setup.exe" insted of the driver. The first time it did I actually didn't see it wasn't the driver and ran it, but it didn't do anything (as much as I know), so I kinda ignored it. Now I was downloading Audacity from their official website and I was also offered to download the same "setup.exe" (It always has around 250kB.) so I am getting suspicious that my PC got infected by a virus. Also, when I click cancel and try to download for the second time, it always gave me the right file. Did anyone get anything similar in the past?

TL;DR:
Sometimes when I try to download official, original stuff (HP drivers, Audacity - sites where it happened in the last few days) it offers me to download a "setup.exe". I click cancel and the next time I get offered to download the thing I was actually trying to download. E: Could my PC have a virus?

I have installed YouCam because it's a relatively good webcam software and because Win 7 doesn't have its own webcam software.

Oh, and I asked for help on HP forum and some guy gave me a working GPU driver, which also fixed the webcam problem.
HP Pavilion g6-2301sm drivers problem

I know I should ask this on official HP forum, but it takes too long for them to answer on some questions, and I for some reason trust you guys more.

So, a friend of mine bought a HP Pavilion g6-2301sm and asked me to install Windows and drivers on it. As I've got a HP laptop myself I knew where to look but I still have some problems with GPUs and the webcam.

GPU problem - his laptop has the same GPU as mine (7670M if I'm not mistaken) so I downloaded the driver from here as it's the only one that worked for me. It didn't work. I got a message saying that CCC won't open because there aren't any setting in it that I could change and when I click "ok" I get another message saying that the driver is wrong or that I chose the wrong display adapter. (there's only one to choose from in Win resolution picker and as I said, I can't open CCC). The driver that I found on the official laptop's site don't support Win 7 at all, but I still tried to install them and as you probably guessed, they don't work.

I wanted to clean registry from drivers and then try to install the official driver again but I don't know will it take me anywhere... Any solutions?

Webcam problem - I installed YouCam that is on the laptop's site and it says that I don't have the appropriate (sp?) VGA hardware or that I didn't install the driver. (Do I need the GPU driver for the webcam to work?) I know I haven't installed any webcam drivers on my laptop, but I tried YouCam found on my laptop's site and it gives the same message.
