Very well presented track. After racing the circuit and officiating events there in real life, I have to say a very big well done to the developers. The visual makers are spot on, the bumps are perfect and the curbs are as suspension breaking as in real life(unfortunately I have first had experience at that part. Woops!) Awesome to see a real life track in LFS. Cracking job guys! Merry Christmas!

Quote from Bmxtwins :Kyoto 250 Race
1 hour 39 minutes and 50 seconds (lap 105 for leaders)
Car 25,60
Car 60 is being lapped, but pinches car 25 down 2 lanes off the wall rather than running a normal groove. Car 25 enters corner as you usually can when side by side and 60 turns in and contact was made.

Racing Incident - No further action

Quote from Bmxtwins :Kyoto250 Race
1 hour 40 minutes 28 seconds
Car 25, 32
Car 32 is on the outside of car 25 into turn 2 and then just turns down into him causing him damage and to lose positions... ultimately the damage made the car uncontrollable. I question why administration did not throw a caution here as my car flew through the grass and hopped back on track.

There was no caution as it was not necessary.

Quote from Timo1992 :Kyoto 250 Race
9m48s race time (lap 6 / first lap after pace laps)
Cars 78, 05
05 waving all over the track, hitting 510 and then loosing control which resulted in a crash with me and complete carnage. This was a very stupid accident and avoidable. He wasn't even braking, just lifted for one second and then crashed into me. This ended my race in lap 1.
So IMO #05 should get the black flag for this.

The #05 has been given a Stop & Go penalty for this as determined by the race officials

Does anyone else have this problem?

When connecting to a host, and when it gets to "Skin: X" LFS goes un responsive and then says "Did not receive OK"? I have found this on some servers but not all. Happened last night on NDR Death Rally, Talked to deko, no problems his end. And also happened on Cargame S2.

Any Thoughts?

Thanks.

Quote from Eclipsed :It's funny when a participant knows rules better then race director:
Sporting code VIII.4.1.On Ovals, the pit entry will close until the field is caught up behind the Safety Car.
Or K250 rulebook VII.5.a)The pitlane entry will close at the time of a safety car deployment; and will not reopen until the majority of the fieid is caught behind the safety car.

Sorry got it wrong. As I am not just a Sim Racing Race Director, I got rules confused, sorry.

Quote from Eclipsed :Did not happen today in first caution - half of the field were more ahead of safety car then behind when pit entry was open. Caught me by surprise and gave a great bonus to those, who screwed up mandatory pit strategy. And /wind=0 after the race is a great command to avoid mishaps like the one happened today. :P

Sorry about that, I messed up, I know.

Quote from Eclipsed :Also would like to have some clarification - I recall that tyrewarming was forbidden after 1 to go signal,is it the case here too? Can't find it in rules. Quite messy out there when few still figure skating all over the track while everyone should try to form single file.

I couldn't remember, I will find it somewhere. Thanks.

Quote from pik_d :Provost timing out must have distracted us from that, since clearly we didn't catch it during the race.

Also, pit stops in practice can be sorted after the fact, which was the idea this time.

I know I got some stuff wrong, forgive me, I'll get it right. As I said before, I am not just a Race Director in the sim racing world, I am also Race Director for the the real stuff too so I got a bit confused after being away from lfs for a while. (Woops :S)

Next time will be better.

Quote from Eclipsed :Yea,and I'm the driving danger on track! I deffinitely needed that penalty for hitting Niko Puntola's car in last K500,where noone had any damage - neither mechanical or time/position wise and after race even Niko said that there shouldn't be penalty. Or I needed that penalty for spining Steven Martin's car in last LFSCART 2013 round, where he made mistake ahead of me,lost speed and I could not avoid that, also then Steven said that that was insane decision. And hell yea - I deffinitely needed that penalty for disobeying blue flag couple of years ago in some oval event, where I overtook the leader (unlapped myself) and successfully was pulling away from him!
Everyone should practice penalty serving for every round here, since Jonathon "the Punisher" Provost is in charge now...

Ye ye, some of the penalties that I have given weren't correct. Also, what's done is done, get over it. I honestly wont be giving penalties like that. I will only be giving them to people who need them. And being "the Punisher" is not what I want. Trust me my judgement will be a lot better.

Don't worry, I will still be doing penalties.

And also, FYI, I only give penalties to those who need them. Obviously, I will be a more lenient than I am when I'm directing real life events but I will take no bull shit.
