Got my 2nd replacement wheel today and the new gated shifter is malfunctioning. so I guess i'll just use the old one. And then tomorrow I'll have to pay around $30 again to send the broken wheel back to them since their customer support doesn't seem to offer the same level of service that pretty much every company i've delt with has offered. good times.
Drivers are still beta... but at least they are digitally signed so no need for readydriver. My brother asked me if he should order the GT3 RS, and I kinda just ignored him. I think he got the message.
Hey niels, what settings do you use with your 911 turbo wheel? I've never driven Corvette, or any of the cars in rFactor, so I don' know how heavy or light the steering is supposed to be.
I can help with testing now since my replacement wheel just got here today.
make sure u full press the braked down in the pits before you pull out every time you go on the track. I have heard some people mod their pedals using dxtweak2 or other programs so that even when they pres their pedals down fully, the game only sees it at 90%, but i think that is cheating.
I don't think the GT3 RS works with xbox 360. and gt3 rs comes standard with clubsport pedals. So if you only play on PC, than it's probably the better option.
any of the non gear driven ones. everything else is down to preference. the most expensive one is obviously the best since it comes with the Clubsport pedals. but I'm getting the 911 Turbo S wheel because it supports PS3 and Xbox 360.
physics are not hardcore, the cars feel too grippy, but the speeds are nice. I like how it's mixed class racing. You've got almost stock honda civics racing at the same time as twin turbo'ed 500+HP porsches.
yeah, you need some kind of structure (from league/CTRA still dead?) to get the most out of a racing sim. It's a coin toss at this point if you're going to join a league.
