So I took some pictures at Silverstone (yes, there are better places to take pictures :rolleyes the weekend before last. Having to somehow manage with an 18-55mm kit lens combined with cropping to get a somewhat reasonable shot (somewhat reasonable being bloody awful in the general scheme of things), I decided that sooner or later I'd be best off getting a telephoto lens.

get canon 70-200/f4L non is, an used one would prolly cost a little more than 300 quids, but you can't go wrong with that lens. you don't want to end up getting some sigma lens for 250 and few years later buying an L lens anyway...

im so useless when it comes to strobing. it takes me half an hour to find some working setup and then the lighting conditions change, so it is useless again. i feel especially limited by the synchro speed of 1/200 - 1/250. Makes it hard to use low f numbers, which i like to do
