Hi, I know one bug but don´t know what it cause yet.
(Maybe its the same)
It would be very helpfull for me if you have the replay with the crash or if you could save it next time you maybe get it again.
Also helpfull would be, when it crashes: in race/by saving the file...
Yeah it seems you are right also for this, I looked at the Insim Documentaion and you need the result number, if there is not really a result there is no result number...
I thought it works with the playernumber so you can use it for example for the total time to this state...
Isn´t important for you because you won´t get only the time of one race, I only wanted to correct what I wrote
For your "problem" it would be interesting to know what you want to do!
There is a new browsable output folder (as I wrote some days ago and several small bugfixes)
EDIT:
But yes you are right I only send and get messages from 127.0.0.1 there are so many things I don´t thought for... but if filur says it should work I don´t know if I include a changeable IP.
On the other hand it isn´t really hard to do.
I don´t know maybe you are right and he only want such a tool and missed the one you posted
I only wrote it that no one will be irritated
And Yes I´m interested too if there will be coming more news/ the final project we are waiting for, or maybe the author thinks the competition is to big :P
STA:
I request the STA packet everytime with the first MCI packet I get. If it´s before the race started (not an in time race) I get old STA-race information (the qualification before it). So I have to replace it with the RST packet, instead I don´t want to need it.
MCI:
It was mentioned by many peoble before. The node system is very unstable and it is so hard to get good positions out of using a method based on nodes.
Sometimes you get a new lap on the finish line or before it...
LFS itselves doesn´t really working good with it (is it used there too?) because ofter there is a short position change 11 to 1 for example. I think thats known. In LFS this isn´t to bad but if I use it for positions it´s very hard to figure bad "events" out.
Maybe you could give a little bit effort to tweak it, would be much helpful
Thats all I remember now, will post again if there have been coming more in my mind :-P
It works with a dedicated server, you didn´t get it to work?
I didn´t really understand your post and thought you get it, because I read you exactly what I did and what your problem was.
1. use one port in Live for Stats for Serverport
2. use the same port for /insim=SERVERPORT
3. use one Clientport in Live for Stats ONLY THERE
4. use another serverport in LFS config for "port"
Or try my ports
I´m nearly sure it will work, but please give me a note if it does or not
I uploaded a new version today / yesterday with the new ftp automatic uploading feature and a log (for the final links to the LFS-Report and xml file).
Also a new settings dialog, details will follow
Now I hope the program will work with a dedicated server, but I think there is still something wrong...
No, thats not possible, because LFS sends no message on a pit stop. It was possible to manage with the help of the chat, but thats not really a good idea because I could do that only in english
I don´t know whats on a driver change, never did that in LFS, it depends what LFS behaviour is, if the new driver drives with the old name (from the other one) there will be everything ok
EDIT:
@ OldBloke, I can confirm, I don´t get my program to work with the dedicated yet
Yes you are right, there should appear a message, I got no one too I think.
The problem is I don´t used a dedicated server for myselv yet, so it´s hard for me to help
I will ask someone who hosts the server for my league he got it working
if you add the cfg to live for stats and [INSIM] try to change the order (if you get too many parameters). I had the same, if you change it I think it should work.
I don´t know if it´s a bug from LFS, only not best implemented or if I did something wrong :/
Fixed both problems, upon the next version you can change the value "parameters" in the ini file (I will add it to the settings screen now too) to maybe parameters = /dedicated=nogfx.
The issue with white space in the filename is fixed too.
Yes you are right, this is a problem.
You added /dedicated=nogfx to a link-file to LFS? Cause if you start lfs from the program LFS will be run only with /insim=XXXXX
I will add an value to the ini file to run LFS with additional parameters.
But now you can run LFS without the program and set the insim port manually, use the same you typed in the program 35743 is the default one.
Then you can run Live for Stats and it will also work.
Known issues
- You cannot start LFS with additional parameters out of Live for Stats
- If there is White space in the path to LFS it won´t work
