Hi, I know one bug but don´t know what it cause yet.
(Maybe its the same)

It would be very helpfull for me if you have the replay with the crash or if you could save it next time you maybe get it again.
Also helpfull would be, when it crashes: in race/by saving the file...

Quote from RaulZito :IS_RES gives the times of total race, but only in the end race, no ?

Yeah it seems you are right also for this, I looked at the Insim Documentaion and you need the result number, if there is not really a result there is no result number...
I thought it works with the playernumber so you can use it for example for the total time to this state...

Isn´t important for you because you won´t get only the time of one race, I only wanted to correct what I wrote

For your "problem" it would be interesting to know what you want to do!

Hi, you can request the IS_RES package at any time, I never used that but I think you there get everytime a right totaltime.

But then you will get the time of one race, is that what you want or do you want time after you started LFS because that won´t be possible with InSim

Nice thanks for your feedback

Hi, I have to look if I can do this
But I don´t know if it´s the best way either (for my application maybe for LFS it is)

@doneze
I now made a beta in it you can change the IP. It worked for me by using the IP my computer has in the local network

EDIT: 1.33b can change the IP also in the settings dialog.

Oh sure, that was clear and thanks to filur

Btw the newest version is 1.30 since yesterday, there is no news yet, but you can find it in the download section or here: http://www.liveforstats.de.vu/liveforstats-v130.zip

There is a new browsable output folder (as I wrote some days ago and several small bugfixes)

EDIT:
But yes you are right I only send and get messages from 127.0.0.1 there are so many things I don´t thought for... but if filur says it should work I don´t know if I include a changeable IP.
On the other hand it isn´t really hard to do.

Some small InSim Changes (no additional)

STA:
I request the STA packet everytime with the first MCI packet I get. If it´s before the race started (not an in time race) I get old STA-race information (the qualification before it). So I have to replace it with the RST packet, instead I don´t want to need it.

MCI:
It was mentioned by many peoble before. The node system is very unstable and it is so hard to get good positions out of using a method based on nodes.
Sometimes you get a new lap on the finish line or before it...
LFS itselves doesn´t really working good with it (is it used there too?) because ofter there is a short position change 11 to 1 for example. I think thats known. In LFS this isn´t to bad but if I use it for positions it´s very hard to figure bad "events" out.

Maybe you could give a little bit effort to tweak it, would be much helpful

Thats all I remember now, will post again if there have been coming more in my mind :-P

It works with a dedicated server, you didn´t get it to work?
I didn´t really understand your post and thought you get it, because I read you exactly what I did and what your problem was.

Within the next two days there will be released a new version with an updated Settings Dialog

You see now LFS is selectable here too, not only on the first start (if you want to select another LFS version)

Also you can now select the folder for outputfiles.
If the field is empty or you type in a not existing folder -> Default one .\xmlstats will be used.

Now the dedi works for me. I only made one stupid mistake

Live for Stats Config (lfss.ini)

[main]
lfs = F:\LFS-Dedi
systemstart = 0
outputname = stats_[DATE]_[TIME]_[TRACK]_[MODE+].xml
lfsparameters = /cfg=config.cfg

[network]
serverport = 35743
clientport = 35742
adminpw = xxxx

[extra]
ftpaddr = ""
httpaddr = ""
ftpuser = ""
ftppw = ""

LFS Config (config.cfg)

[SIZE=2]/host=insim-testserver
/ip=127.0.0.1
/admin=xxxx
/port=63392
/insim=35743
/mode=s2
/usemaster=yes
/track=WE1
/weather=1
/cars=all
/maxguests=10
/carsmax=10
/carshost=0
/carsguest=1
/pps=4
/qual=30
/laps=4
/wind=0
/dedicated=nogfx
/vote=yes
/select=yes
/rstmin=120
/rstend=30
/autokick=spectate
/midrace=yes
/mustpit=no
/start=finish
[/SIZE]

This should work for everyone.

1. use one port in Live for Stats for Serverport
2. use the same port for /insim=SERVERPORT
3. use one Clientport in Live for Stats ONLY THERE
4. use another serverport in LFS config for "port"

Or try my ports

I´m nearly sure it will work, but please give me a note if it does or not

That happens if you closed LFS and open it again in only a few seconds, then maybe Live for Stats don´t see that LFS was restarted.

EDIT: Fixed that now if you start LFS from Live for Stats (for next version)

And yes dedicated server is still a problem
But you should be able to start it with [INSIM] /dedicated=nogfx (offline) but then I have insim

I uploaded a new version today / yesterday with the new ftp automatic uploading feature and a log (for the final links to the LFS-Report and xml file).
Also a new settings dialog, details will follow
Now I hope the program will work with a dedicated server, but I think there is still something wrong...

Currently Version is now 1.21

Oh I was to stupid and saw the problem so late, but now I got the dedi to work .

@OldBlokw
If you want to use or test this version before I finished what I want (it works good) you can send me a short note with an email address.

You mean the time on pit stops?

No, thats not possible, because LFS sends no message on a pit stop. It was possible to manage with the help of the chat, but thats not really a good idea because I could do that only in english

I don´t know whats on a driver change, never did that in LFS, it depends what LFS behaviour is, if the new driver drives with the old name (from the other one) there will be everything ok

EDIT:
@ OldBloke, I can confirm, I don´t get my program to work with the dedicated yet

Sorry, don´t saw him yet, but I didn´t forget it.
Maybe another serveradmin who use this tool or could use it, can say something to it?

Yes you are right, there should appear a message, I got no one too I think.
The problem is I don´t used a dedicated server for myselv yet, so it´s hard for me to help

I will ask someone who hosts the server for my league he got it working

Quote from OldBloke :I'm still unable to get this to work

Ok, I tried for myselv...

Quote from OldBloke :If I try to start LFS from within Live for Stats then I get the '/dedicated' error message even though I have /dedicated=nogfx in my setup.cfg file.

That cannot work, cause you don´t load you config file.

Quote from OldBloke :If I add /dedicated=nogfx to Live for Stats parameters then LFS will start but it is offline with no error message.

I think thats right, but here you don´t load your config too, where you describes what to do ?!?

Quote from OldBloke :If I start both programs separately then type /mso !deactivate I get 'InSim is not open' message.

Do you added /insim=<serverport> to your config? if you do this it should work

Quote from OldBloke :I've tried adding /cfg=setup.cfg to Live for Stats but that fails with 'too many startup parameters'.

You can add only /cfg=setup.cfg to the parameters and add /insim=XXXXX to your config then it should work.

I hope that helps now.

if you add the cfg to live for stats and [INSIM] try to change the order (if you get too many parameters). I had the same, if you change it I think it should work.
I don´t know if it´s a bug from LFS, only not best implemented or if I did something wrong :/

Sry for triple post :/

I uploaded a new version 1.16. You can use a admin password if needed or start LFS with additional parameters also some bugs are fixed.

See the changelog, news entry and the documentation for details

At least here is the download link
Live for Stats 1.16

@OldBloke it should now work if you type /dedicated=nogfx [INSIM] for Lfs Parameter. If it doesn´t work try forst [INSIM]
CLRS530

Fixed both problems, upon the next version you can change the value "parameters" in the ini file (I will add it to the settings screen now too) to maybe parameters = /dedicated=nogfx.

The issue with white space in the filename is fixed too.
CLRS530

Hi OldBloke,

Yes you are right, this is a problem.
You added /dedicated=nogfx to a link-file to LFS? Cause if you start lfs from the program LFS will be run only with /insim=XXXXX
I will add an value to the ini file to run LFS with additional parameters.

But now you can run LFS without the program and set the insim port manually, use the same you typed in the program 35743 is the default one.
Then you can run Live for Stats and it will also work.

Known issues
- You cannot start LFS with additional parameters out of Live for Stats
- If there is White space in the path to LFS it won´t work
