Quote from Riders Motion :Yup, at least make an effort to write properly. Maybe you can have some inspiration from my team's page. I dont say it's the best presentation out there but it's definitely better than what you attempted so far.

Fixed it for you.

You could also make your person class implement the comparable interface, so you define yourself how two persons compare to each other

public class person : IComparable

The above should give you a template for the Compare method.

EDIT:

lerts >>>>>>> harjun

Just because some people dont get what lerts is trying to say doesnt mean what he says is bulls**t. On the other hand, harjun is spam of the cheapest kind.

Thats like going to a restaurant and not being allowed to ask for something you like just because you havent tried all the other menus before.

So WTF @ this thread, people can ask for whatever they want, and in this case its slightly justified.

Well yeah lol I was thinking about MoE, IGTC and alike more than real life.

You cant really compare chat binds with engine sabotage, at least until S2 Beta

Sounds like you've seen all kinds of dirty stuff on karting, though

Very good guide, Becky. I would also add that it is utterly important to keep things as simple as possible:

a) If chatting means a penalty - remove all chat binds before the race. So easy yet some people still manage to squeeze a smiley and get a DT. FFS!!

b) Worst case scenario. You got the penalty and you have to do a drive through. Well dont do it ASAP, wait until you're going to get lapped or get into traffic so at least you get the (possible) benefit of a clear track when you get out of the pits.

Those two spring to mind, but Im sure there are heaps of tricks.

So if someone says no new tracks in 3 years is slow development means they're selfish people?

Way to go!

Thanks for stating the obvious, but I was looking for Scawen's answer, no need for more fanboyism as Im not asking for more developers.

BTW more communication isnt necessarily bad you know, just like none of the commented ideas are inventive or new at all.

Scawen, I understand perfectly how comfy feels being the only one that touches your code and how reluctant you can be when it comes to adding people to your project - been there, felt that. BUT...if you spent some time writing a guide on how YOU want things to be written, dont you think some people could help with the less important/repetitive parts of the program?

I still havent stumbled a project where other people cant give a hand, at least on certain areas where everything is already thought out.

Maybe using automated tests to validate the 'outsider' code could work out.

And this isnt another "ADD MORE PEOPLE TO SPEED UP LFS" post, its just that since you may read this, im really curious about the answer

Wow hats off. Get some time off the forums will you - maybe some mod can help on that.

You arent paying for fuel so you arent aware of the point of electric city cars, which are mostly economy and easy parking.

I agree that the thing is fugly, though.

Quote from ORION :http://www.google.es/trends?q= ... l&date=all&sort=0

thats mostly because the main domain name was changed from liveforspeed.net to lfs.net I guess

That could be, Im not into the inner workings of google trends, but I believe its based on news volume rather than website addresses. I searched for Live For Speed, so I dont think the URL comes into play.

Quote from LiveForBoobs :Wrong. 2006's peak is bigger than the one before, 2007 Jan is bigger than the 2 before, 2007 Dec is bigger than the 2 before. The 2005 is nothing more than the release of S2, i think.

Dude what graph are you looking at? No peak in 2007 is bigger than ANY in 2006 and no peak in 2006 is bigger than any in 2005

You must have missed that each peak is lower than the one before

Thought this was interesting. Scale is based on the average worldwide traffic of live for speed in all years.

As you can see, the decline in the popularity of LFS is a fact.

EDIT:

Even more interesting - though worrying - a comparison between LFS, rFactor and iRacing:

Theres no "better" sim, if you want real life tracks & cars, play GTR2, if you want shit loads of mods play rFactor2, and if you want support for eastern tamagotchi and an awesome tyre model, play LFS.

I might be wrong, but its more a matter of letting the irish decide if they want to sign the treaty or not, as the rest of Europe does sign it. Just like the UK did with the Euro.
