This is addictive, if a little annoying at times. There's still a few compression spots, but the overall outcome is so much nicer than the stuff straight from the Forza site
Just sent a friend request. More LFS'ers the better.
E: Just tried that hires thing lukelfs linked to. Kinda pleased for a first attempt, but theres still a few niggles on this one. Front wheel being one and the line over the back wheel which isn't part of the stitching, it's the line on the track thats not quite on the track, bit like some of LFS'.
The lap will still be valid aslong as you don't go off track. I'm using the same (auto clutch and ABS), but could probably still do just as well without the ABS. The clutch is a pain in the arse for downshifts so I don't bother with that.
It doesn't look much different from Forza 2's, but as always it's still a blast to drive round. GT4's was very nice (as far as PS2 graphics go), just a shame about the physics. I imagine GT5's will look rather nice indeed.
If you want to chuckle at a crappy version of the ring, have a look at PGR4's. Everything is plain wrong on it, the general layout is there but everything just feels and looks wrong. Having the ability to change the weather on it is nice though. Snow/ice on the 'ring, hell yeah!
E275 1985 Toyota Sprinter Trueno - 45.063 (it might be 083, i'm struggling to read some of the text on this shitty TV. You'll be able to check on the leaderboards)
Is it only that skin which does it, or is it all the default skins that come with a fresh copy?
If a fresh copy doesn't work, theres a link somewhere on the forum to all the default LFS skins in 1024 resolution. I'll try find it, if not I will upload the pack somewhere.
For starters, you can try the XRR_DRIFT skin. Attached the 1024 version.
Edit: If you look on THIS thread, theres a download link for a pack which has hires skies and the hires skins. I thought there was a seperate .rar for just the skins, ah well.
