Really nice cruise Insim, with many wonderful features, and pretty much all the familiar ones.
I just miss more english speaking players on the server, because otherwise the Insim offered a choice of language i would prefer, and then spoke to me nicely, so no problem there.

As a veteran cruiser I only can recommend this constantly updating server!

Such stupid crashes happen at cargame servers often too.

I have noticed this too. chalkALPHA.dds modification does not affect chalks in game anymore.

Years ago I have created custom chalkALPHA.dds for our Caribbean Cruise server (now CLC). My goal was to change arrows from handmade chalk drawings to normal painted road signs, to be used for cruise layouts. And also change straight chalk lines to painted lines, without notches at both ends.
Modified DDS file was offered to our regular cruisers for download and overwrite original. Today when I modify it in Photoshop, LFS still shows originals. Tested with older LFS versions and it worked well there.

Is there any way to modify chalks again? Which DDS is it now?
Or is it inside the game now since the new feature of optional chalk colours?

I must support this! We used to race with a guy who was the only one of our group who raced in real life too. Clio cup. We made him the Renault Clio skin for XFR - replica of his real car he raced. Guys helped him to tune XFR setup, until he didn't say something around ""WOW, now this actually feels like my car guys! LFS rules"" etc etc...
Now guess laptimes of him and some of our fastest guys. Yea, it was a joy to watch him racing - his lap times were totally stable, +/- few tens of second, he never crashed, never burned tires, but he was slow. Compared to out fastest racers, terribly slow.
I don't know how to explain this, we spent nights debating if LFS sucks or computer simulations suck, or how the hell is it possible that real life racer, who is always at top10 position in races btw, can't win in game. We got nowhere. But one thing is for sure - all those theories about real racers, virtual racers, cruisers, skills and who is fast and who is not, are stupid generalization. And as such, not even worth writing at some forum...

Yeah I was double-checking it in 3D model too. It's not touching. Colour of the tire and that of wing panel are almost the same...
Wheels are turning - rear fast - motion blurred, front only roll on the road, not powered - no motion blur. I was thinking if this is spot on. Maybe it can be realistic, but doesn't look convincing.
I am working on new environment for it, so I will look at these things too, thanks for critics!

Maybe our 3D guys would be interested that I've used VRay. And tried an old good finalRender approach to fake effects in VRay - (less GI send, more affect reflections from same object, selfilluminating objects, etc...) Well, I have failed miserably. Time I've put into this extended into unacceptable hours of fight against VRay. He was fast in renders at least, faster GI than finalREnder, much faster blurry reflections, and outstanding vector motion blur speed too. Restricted in special effects, but really stands up to his legend in photorealistic images, especially architecture. (my typical job)
Not sure if I can recommend it for LFS renders, depends. Work with matte plates and compositing with real footage might be a pain for you.
At the other side, 1 click realistic renders is where VRay beats anything around. So if you just wanna take a car, throw a skin on it, set some dramatic camera angle and want a picture, go for it.

I am asked to wear long pants or leave my shoes out when entering sacral places in many cultures, and I honestly never thought about demanding to change this rule. I understand that I am entering a different world and it was my self-determination to go there, so I am as ready to adjust as I am looking forward to taste foreign kitchen in foreign countries.
While western culture tries to know and understand muslim reasons, muslim could try to make some step forward too, instead of this die-hard "hell no"...

How would you reply at a LFS movie request with cruise theme? More like ads, short actions, than any story telling. Bring live action into the movie using 3D (I can make scenes from tracks in max too).
