Hi all, it's been a long time since I played LFS.. but recently remembered about it and downloaded it. All of my 50 skins are still uploaded on lfsworld, is there any way I can download them? Would love to get them back!

I just found the option of the bottom of the page, 'download selected' Na-na

After having a fairly boring first year of driving in a Seat Arosa 1.0 with a black-box i moved on to something a little more fun with potential, a Volvo 340! This is mainly because i've always wanted to drift in real life since i started drifting on LFS and other sims many years ago.

So as soon as i attempted my first drift IRL i had the hang of it no problem thanks to many years of training on the G25 and lfs.

1.7 Carbd engine 80BHP
Middle box delete & MK2 Golf GTI back box
Welded diff
Evo 6 Recaro seats
Nardi steering wheel
Stripped-ish interior
Few suspension mods
13x7 minilites with grippy tyres all round

Its pretty much a swedish AE86 Big grin

Also after going on a drift experience day, on track in a V8 S14 it actually landed me a job teaching drifting. Which is pretty cool, it lets me improve on my driving and learn from others mistakes. They also have MX5s, an AE86 and a few drift-spec E46 M3s.

Anyway enough about drifting, i actually took the Volvo to the nurburgring in September and it was epic! I cooked the stock brakes 3 mins into the lap which was pretty scary and a Ferrari 458 actually let me pass him prior to thatCool
I only did one lap, didnt want to break the volvo 450 miles away from home as it took quite a beating anyway. Want to go back though as its one of the coolest places ive been to! and of course im craving more laps around the ring!

Something abit different, can be drifted or raced - fully functioning start and pits (no pitstop). A very technical section followed by a more open bit back into the technical.

Good fun with a uf1/ufr. Not perfect but just a quick one. Post your lap times below Smile

Well done.
One slight concern is that cable. Is that the throttle cable that was fitted to higher bars, or the clutch coming from the other side? Either way it looks much too long to be routed properly. I'd worry that it might catch on something, you should address that, it would also clean up the look a lot.

It is the original clutch cable, hasnt had any issues yet. But it's on it's way out anyway so the new one i get will be shorter

Cafe racer is still going strong, done a few more little mods here and there. New bars coming soon as one of mine broke

You switched the head light too? Yeah. I can see the shocks better. in the other picture, It sorta looked like a chrome plated rod. I think the tear drop tank actually works well with the overall look too.
I have headlight problems with my suzuki. Wanna know where I get the bulbs? (pay attention forbin, this'll blow your mind) I get the bulbs from Home Depot. You have something like that in the UK? It's a home and garden place. Anyways, I buy these $12.00 set of lawn lights, break two apart and snag the bulbs out.
That's the high beam. The low beam is a driving light bought from an auto parts store. I'm wanting to re modify that and replace that with xenon bulbs, but I haven't had the time to compare amps of the bulbs to amps put out as well as make a housing. I don't know how to describe what I have now. Let's just say it could stand improvement.

... a hardtail cafe racer... It would look cool, but hurt to ride...

Never had to buy bulbs from a home store haha, it's the same headlight just better bulbs and yellow film over it Smile

I like to refer to this as correcting cruiser ergos. Who thought having the rider's feet out in front rather than directly under was a good idea?

Don't knock it til you've tried it. Forward controls on a lowered frame gives you a whole new perspective on things. Besides sitting like a wide receiver in a prison movie gets mighty uncomfortable after a while.

Just outta curiosity Omar, did you scavenge anything off of a dirt-bike for this project? My mechanic builds quite a few and they use me to draw up brackets and graphics here and there, mostly for brakes. A couple of bikes had dirt bike forks and shocks.

Nothing from a dirt bike here, i know what you mean though.

Man. That looks pretty cool! It's kind of hard to tell, but did you make it a hard tail?

Nah, hard-tailing is more for bobbers, got the shocks on there still Smile

Not mine, but detailed and waxed it today. It was flithy, done loads of motorway miles all over the country.

Both shots are raw

Bought some road tyres to replace the chunky MTB tyres, i've only gone up and down my path but already i can feel how much better it is. Also the amount of rolling resistance is substantially less and it looks nicer!

ebay, £13 for a pair.

Quote from sinbad :Personally I don't like the idea of my front tyres being steered back and forth whilst I sit still for hours playing a simulator in an otherwise real car......

Yeah, dry steering, can't be great for the car. Would be better if they had the car on some plates to allow the wheels to turn properly, like these:

You've got it easy!.. this is a 50/50 of the bonnet of a Fiesta I got asked to detail before it goes up for sale:

Thankfully not all panels are quite this bad (although most aren't good), but I'm 10 hours in on the machining alone and have only done one side, bonnet, front bumper and roof!

Cheers..

Ian

What's your process? my sister has a black 1999 fiesta and i'm planning to use it to practice swirl removal on :P
