Track wasn't that bad, it was just the tyres where too hard for the track so there was no strategy.

That was the craziest Race I have ever seen, best race this year in any disapline by a massive margin.

Finally a Bathurst where Ford and Holden had geniune competition from another manufacturer.

apparently the car has had that plate for 13 years before Top gear bought it.

Either way Clarkson confirmed they will air the whole thing so this will be interesting.

the Main thing that just needs to change from this is no tractors on the Race zone without a Safety car, when a car crashes it can usually get picked up from a crane without any heavy equipment needed on the race area and these should still be able to avoid the SC.

But that being said the position of the crash in question was very dangerous anyway and would of warranted a SC, had the tractor not been there he most probably would of hit and killed some workers.

If you are going to waste your time and energy whining, at least whine about something that is a problem!

Nope - go watch 1998, 2003, 2008 and 2010 seasons.

Having just watched 1998 and 2003 in the past 3 months, i have to say this year is definitely more exciting. but I would say it is helped much more by the fact the coverage of racing is 1 billion times better.

2003 definitely had some really good races though, but some where exceptionally average the Ignorance is bliss attitude does help make things much more unpredictable when you have next to no information on whats going on compared to now though.

penske to Merge with DJR starting next year, they have also signed Marcos Ambrose to drive the #17 http://www.djr.com.au/news/breaking-news-djr-team-penske

With Penske coming into V8 supercars, 888 will be in trouble I think.

The main reason i think Cars are soo much slower then last year isn't just the downforce loss its the massive gain in weight over the previous season, at minimum weight they are close to a full tank of the V8s, i think if you had a V10 Era car at the same weight as the V6 Turbos it would be close, but the V10s have that extra grunt, ricciardo got 362km/h at Monza last weekend which is around 10km/h off Montoyas top speed in 2004, but that was with DRS which would add quite a bit of speed.

I think Next years Engines will be developed to the point of Surpassing the V10s Power though, as you can see they have plenty of hardware upgrades already lined up for Winter.

Also 2004 allowed tyre changes your thinking of 2005.

Quote from CrAZySkyPimp :Relax peeps, it was a parking lot, yes it was funny and embarrasing, but it has nothing to do with racing around a track.

well obviously, a burnout isn't racing lol.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HYlBeawGn6s

Embarrassing but not exactly poor driving, that area was really cramped.

What's your opinion on this guy?

He has done everything that could be possibly asked of in karts and then they moved him to a very highly competitive series in his a debut with cars and he was pretty much right on the pace, his wins have been very convincing and shows the talent is there, but I feel the whole situation has been rushed when he could be refined at least for one more season say in F3.5 before going into F1.

I think his first season will be very rough but if he can show a couple of strong qualifying or race performances I think the talent is there to build.

Quote from englishlord :The German who was wrong and has admitted he is wrong. Bit ridiculous to make out like the Brits supporting their nation's drivers is somehow odd when it absolutely is not.

Well yes, but UK being the number 1 country following F1 with the most media focusing on it(and most craziest Media), is always exaggerated when a Brit is involved.

The thing is Rosberg already started to withdraw from the move before he hit Hamilton.

Either way its still a racing incident dispite the many pages this bs is still going on.

One thing you don't do in F1 is hit a brit, your gonna have a bad time especially if your German.

Quote from CrAZySkyPimp :Man I'm really starting to see the trend, when it comes to the flags of those in denial that it wasn't a racing incident...

you think, its not like Hamilton would possibly have any non British fans.

Atleast after this year he has acted like a complete idiot.

just a racing incident, it was Rosbergs fault but the Tyre blow out exaggerated the outcome.

Quote from danielroelofs :Ferrari probably had a situation which they weren't able to solve in time.

Btw, if you have any decent thought about the current F1, it is frankly quite dumb to say why Alonso should move, as we have seen that you can't predict next year's car. I hear people whining about Ferrari's speed. But why is it so quiet about McLaren? They have done far worse the last years... So he should go to McLaren? Stupid thinking.. could be that they are fast next year, but you cant tell.

And wasn't it Ferrari who were only able to give the brilliant designed Adrian Newey cars any form of competition? Yes... so if he listened to your advice he would have made the msot stupid decision. O no, obviously he has to go to Mercedes because yes it is so obvious they are 2015's world champion car... It's weird and wrong imo anyway that a driver has to look out for the team that's going to build the best car. But it supports my idea of a driver having not enough influence anymore.

Besides.. I think a real racer with a passion for Racing in general always prefers to win a title with a team with the heritage of Ferrari and not in a marketing bubble as Red unhealthy Bull. As even Vettel has made somewhat clear already, I believe he even literally stated that he would once like to drive for Ferrari. (Please no!)

Ferrari are done, I think Alonso has an outsiders chance to take the Mercedes seat if Hamilton Rage quits.

Also I don't think many Drivers give two craps about Ferrari heritage whilst they are basically a mid fielder team.

You ask anyone on the grid right now what they would take if offered RedBull or Ferrari and it would be a 22 to 0 Redbull domination.

A real racer wants to win, they don't really care what colours they represent while doing it.

I was a bit turned off due to the fan boost, but when you consider it's like having soft tyres that wear more but overall give the same performance over a race distance I'm perfectly fine with it.

The driver quality though is surpurb, plenty of ex-F1 drivers that are tbh drivers that could be in F1 right now and all seem to be in the prime age of their career.

Legge is the only driver I see that really will be out of their element in talent.

Quote from DeadWolfBones :Wonder if Kobayashi will go to Super Formula now...

it's only for one race, but either way unless the new caterham upgrade makes the car faster then the marussia's and Saubers his career is over as you can't prove anything in a car that requires you to be a second faster just to compete with your closest competitor.

I would be Contacting Toyota(LMP Squad) or Honda(for Indycar possibly andretti seat) if I was Kob.

Caterham is lucky to have a Driver like Kobasyhi's calibre driving for them then they replace him, what kind of joke are they running?
