To get the double click feature work, you can use this handy tool!
With just some clicks you can add or remove the file association for .spr and .mpr files...

You can create the association like this...

now you can choose a txt editor for opening *.lfs files (scripts).
so, therefore you can associate *.lfs files too

Hi, I'd like some help with associating files with LFS. I'm doing everything right but when I double click lfs.exe when selecting the app to associate files with, it doesn't appear in the program list. And since Crazyice's file associator links seem to be dead, I'm pretty much stuck with having to copy everything in their appropriate folder.

Does anyone know why my Windows won't use the program I select? It accepts the viewer but not the simulator. I have Windows XP with SP2.

I also would like to find out how to associate "lfs://" so I can join games from the lfsworld.net desktop. I usually can find out via researching the web but it seems this doesn't get many hits on google.

lfs:// links require join2lfs (http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=121). You might have various levels of success with different browsers though, I can't get it to work on FF 3.5 at all. IE will probably allow you to join most servers.
