The online racing simulator
229th RTFR

SIDENOTE: Original SO2 track does use a questionable spawn zone and features only 16 grid slots with no working pitlane, that's why we will use custom configuration with relocated grid and splits positions, while cars will be spawned at the SO1/4/5/6 garages. Due possible misuse, drivers, who [re]join the race before whole field crosses 1st split, will receive 1 lap penalty!

A reminder - server will be password protected 1 hour before qualifying start to keep not knowing crowded server jumpers out of way, pass will be always the same: green

Race statistics / Event rating and other statistics (will be updated later this week)

Despite using a custom configuration, this actually was a race on LFS's standart configuration - South City Sprint 1. A lap with just over 2 km lenght and laptime just over 1 minute, this was pretty much a classic short track race using LFS and also RTFR most popular car - the "peoples car" XFG. There was some fender rubbing and few minor incidents as always with cars being able to run this close to each other - only 3 drivers finished in same position they started.

One of them was a RTFR returner - Ardeeé returned to this event after his 6 race winning streak in spring of 2017 and continued where he left off. He led every single lap and scored his 7th race win,10th pole position,9th fastest lap of the race and 10th top5 finish. But his win was everything else than dominant - he was closely followed by most successful RTFR driver Botsi, who looked for overtanking chances through out the race, but could not complete a pass - Botsi clocked 0.64 seconds gap to the race winner and set a tied 18th closest finish in RTFR history. The 2nd place finish for Botsi was his 48th top5 finish. Winner of the latest RTFR XL race Upsas joined the shorter event version and improved his previous best (and only) finish from 13th to 3rd yesterday. 4th was defending winner Gábor, who scored his 5th top5 finish,5th was Spiky, adding 8th top5 finish to his stats.

After this race RTFR goes into 2 weeks break, after which we'll return with some slick tyre car racing. In 3 weeks from this the next RTFR XL is scheduled with a race at Fern Bay Green using LX4. But before all that there is another RGE race - 2nd round of STARL,which will be run in Aston's South configuration, information and signups you can find in STARL forum section.
