Intake Restrictions
On my Herts Racing server i'm trying to set up some variations in the cars, so im adding intake restrictions on faster cars to make it fair.

I want UF1 racing with XFG, so have added a 20% restriction here.

I want FOX racing with FBM, so have added a 16% restriction here.

I want RB4 with FXO and XRT and have yet to set up this restriction.

Im testing the 'fairness' using AI players, but of course they are unable to overtake very often and the one behind seems to feather his throttle when behind.

How can I check/test this? I've done laps myself, but my driving standards are not as brilliant as others may be, and are inconsistent.

Any cool programs / apps that specialise in this?

Or huge LFS boffins that know all that can be known?

Could you not just create a server, and then get real people to test it? I would make a server myself and test it with you, but im on holiday so im on a my laptop, so i obviously dont have my wheel.
You should get an idea which AI car is faster so put some of those at the front to see if they pull away, and some at the back to see if they move through the field.

You need to give your AI a chance to learn so set the laps quite high, then go make dinner and look at the lap times at the finish.

Balancing with AI can get you pretty close, but in the hands of real players you need to be prepared to reconsider the balancing a little over time and review it.
