Quote from GrantR :
That would be fun to try, have an autocross server where the script only lets you get, say, 10 attempts, and has the save layout button disabled to prevent offline practice.

Indeed Grant, that sounds like a nice idea.

Quote from drinklime :has anyone gotten a good time using right-foot braking? it seems impossible. I'm a right foot braker and i switched to left foot and i got way faster (but im hitting cones cause im not used to the controls like that)

I'm right foot braking, just use to it. I guess.

Quote from cwmax :Hi Guys,

Looking to join your coreracing.com sever tonight but...

I can see people on the server in LFSW but server doesn't show in the server list

Last time this happened I found I was banned from the server

Not again? I didn't mean it, really

hmm that's odd. Everyone else seemed to connect fine tonight.

Maybe try using the join specific game option before you enter the server list, and see if that works. Could it be you had some sort of filter on?

I really enjoy hotlapping. To me it's fun improving my time, and getting faster, when I didn't think I could. It's also nice to see your name in the ranks, after you accomplished a good time

Like Troy said, work on keeping it tight, and getting on gas early. Don't be afraid of the foxxy getting the rear out.

From experience, try not to copy what the WR guy is doing on T1 exactly. This will probably mess you up, and irritate the crap out of you! You will figure it out on your own, and when you do you will continue to perfect it, and get 107s like nothin. I remember when I couldn't get outta the 1:08s, I just over tried, and now I have a pb at 1:07.3. Just give it time, and when you least expect it will come.

good luck, and cya on the track.

I would like to see different licenses for the openwheelers. Reason I say this is becasue the hardcore openwheel racers don't drive,(nor like) the TBO cars. I think it would be neat to start over with these openwheelers, and see a new crowd go for the highest rank (myself included.)

I would like to see everyone go through the MRT first. When I first got LFS the MRT taught me to be fast, and great car control. This transferred over to me adapting well to every other car in the game easily!

I truely believe that when people give the MRT a chance, and actually learn the car, they will love it.

Quote from Sketchyrollin564 :LOL! just got the joke!

However, incase you didnt know, nascar isnt really all that popular, other than little kids, and rednecks. Whats popular is FnF style street racing

Wow I can't believe you even said something like this. Why post when you have no clue what your saying?

Fast and furious racing? Wow. I honestly am emberresed reading this.

Quote from banshee56 :Are you kidding me?? Scott Pruett doesn't have any road course experience, huh?? Check it:

IMSA GTO Champion (1988, 1986)

SCCA Trans-Am Champion (1987, 1994, 2003)

24 Hours of Daytona overall winner (1994, 2007)

Rolex Sports Car Series Daytona Prototype Grand-Am Champion (2004)

World Karting Association Hall of Fame inductee (1991)

...but he doesn't have any road course experience......

I normally don't put too much stock into Pruett's crying, but he was shafted by Montoya. Juan-Pablo is a talented driver, no doubt, but he never should have put his nose in there for that pass.

You tell em Banshee!

Boy did Montoya run a race!

Hey,

Check out the series called "Speed Secrets" by Ross Bentley. They are really great, and cover everything that you are looking for. Trust me. A book BTW.

Quote from mrodgers :Stewart was already sliding the back end. How was Kyle suppose to get away from him when they are doing 185 mph. At that speed, they simply can not just turn down and around the other car. Nothing he could do. Tony's back end got loose, his car slowed down to 170 mph and Kyle is already right there on his bumper.

That is the thing with Nascar. You can all flame them for just turning left and the "how hard is that?" mentality, but they are running on the edge at all times. If they hit a pebble on the track wrong it can upset the car. The speeds are why you typically don't see anyone catching and recovering from a slide like you do in road racing.

Kurt could have let off the gas...but It's just a racing incident, and he admited to it.

I do think Tony would have won though!

But what a finish! Glad Harvick won, and not Mr.Viagra!
oh come on

Spectating people online makes braking seem later then it really is. I had the same problem a while back. I thought I was braking way to early, and started braking late, and ended up being slower becasue I was braking to hard..and to late like I saw online. Try braking at about 65, keep left wheels on the gator while braking. Entering T1, stay real tight (in different color pavement). It will feel slower, but isn't! Trust me. DON'T TRY TO OVERTHINK T1!!!

Good luck.
