drive/fly by wire is essentially the same thing, you substitute the direct mechanical connection of wheels/sticks, flaps/steered wheels with sensors/actuators.

if your cars is too old for air bags, it's guaranteed too old for "drive by wire".
So the g27 wheel won't withstand the forces needed for non-assisted steering the car.
shall i go on?

seriously,

you shouldn't be able to use the xrt anyways, since you seem to be a demo-user.
Else, you meant the xRg, then i can't help you either.

if all else fails to get the game to run, try GamecopyWorld.com...

How about bitrate conversion?
I doubt you need the given bitrate for the sequence.
Try V-dub and a 100% quality-pass of DivX/Xvid. (quantizer = 1)
I bet the filesize of your 15min. segments will drop.

And a Timelapse rarely has audio from the scene recorded, since you take photos eg. every few seconds.
- So drop the audio alltogether.
- join your segments run a 2-pass over it
- upload it

- done

i'm no expert. but what about the network overhead?
How do these net-tv-stations deal with the problem of multiple (1000+) clients on different positions in one "known" stream of data?
Now think about collision management, of 64 or more concurrent "moving" clients and the max number of stationary Layout-objects.

try using "PartED Magic 5.6 Live-Linux" and Clonezilla (The app that does the actual cloning)
DL the image, burn, start from it, start clonezilla follow the instructions (remember the way you want to copy [device-wise]) wait till the jobs done.
Swap HDDs and there you go.

well, i've experimented out of curiosity with some fx models, yes.
I was sure i've kept the originals intact, obviously i was mistaken.
The files have been replaced with the correct originals, and the problem vanished.
Like scawen said, it's a vob-mod-related problem.

problem solved.

greetings,

since the z30 patch i'm getting a few frames of the "joined" LsC server, then a "initial synchronisation failed" message, (JOOS - CAR) and i'm dropped.
i'm wearing z30 patch as well.
LsC seems the only server with this problem, since a few others seem to accept my client.
Hope this drops as scawen releases the next stable.

thx for your time

how about this?

it's 50cc and capable of sustaining 60-65 kp/h.

Quote from natedog420 :...whole point of computers is less heat the better...

you said it yourself, then why are there 1kw(!) Psus on the market?

The best thing would be a unit able to switch modules into the loop.
These modules produce say 25W at peak efficiency.
Beeing add up (parallel) to any desired demand.
(that's how large area power nets are supplied, with Dyn5 transformators in parallel switching, for example the net demands 3000 KVa, so you'd need either one 3000 KVa trafo or three 1000 KVa trafos)
If the load drops, some modules get completely unconnected, this way the overall unit efficiency stays up, wether the load is high or not.
But to get on topic again, nate, what's your hard evidence for telling me to go away?

you guys seem to ommit the fact that the efficiency of the psu drops dramatically the less load it's beeing driven.

in essence, yes gabkicks, "It'll raise your energy bill just from using a more powerful PSU!"

imagine a car 1 ton of weight and a v8 liter 4l engine... big engine.
now imagie the same car with a v12 5,7l engine, think about it...

O.o 50% load only?
sorry but that sounds bust as i'm running 5 discs a ati 1900xtx and amd64 3700+ audigy fatality and 2 external usb dvd-burners (supplied by the pc-psu) under stress for hours with a PSU 350W.
The exhaust temps of the psu are barely warm...

I understand that correct energy-consumption assessment of modern computers is a very tricky part caused by harmonics on the Psu-net side.

But ridicule psu overhead of 50%(!) is just wasting way to much energy.
and what's the consequence?
YOU PAY too much for electric energy...

long run AI race
micha1980de
S3 licensed
greetings,

the AI was set to race for 1000 laps on KY_gp_long.
everything went just fine.
Then the hibernation of my computer came for the night.
Next time i booted, the task was resumed, and unpaused to continue the 1k lap race.

strange things:

After some serious "hick-up" lfs continued it's work. (game froze for some seconds, sound repeated, as if things were loaded from HD, wich was pretty active during freeze time)
IF the lfs.exe isn't left "paused" and "suspended" (process explorer -sysinternals-) then after hibernation, it just locks the computer due to 'normal' priority and heavy workload for cpu and hd.
If lfs get's "late" it drops frames and tries to re-sync itself, this cannot be achieved within 1-2 minutes, i even left the system 'try' for half an hour.
as said before, this only happens if some AI were driving, and you wake your computer from hibernation.
Frame rates were restricted (but not set to) 32.0 or 64.0 fps, usually they are around 85.
AI doesn't respond to emptyness of the tank, any damges (flat tyres, body, suspension).
They don't pit anymore.
They keep driving until they are out of fuel.
"dragging" them to pits, and patch them up doesn't help.
They brake all the way, and don't re-ignite the engine to carry on...
they don't "reset" their car if crashlanded on the roof/side, what they usually do.

i know, the AI things are not major, but the programm things aren't minor either.

sincerly micha

as i understand, theres always debt laid upon me, so i have to work hard to keep up the race against growing debts...
Debt in our world today is the ultimate mean of control.
Not brute force, debt.

watch "zeitgeist addendum" this film describes the workings of the american monetary system. (...is worth legal tender...).

<<< no suspension expert, but don't these standard built-in suspensions change the camber doe to the "wandering" weight of the car cornering?
Meaning that the camber gets more negative the more the car leans into a bend?

Greetings,

road cars xrt/xrg speedo dials (virtal ones) look a bit crammed with the big font.
looked trough the options for a slider/value but didn't find that option.

Ignore if mentioned before, read this thread but didn't find anything about this one.

sincerly.
