Maybe they think that everyone will have a touch display by the time it's released? Fail...
And even if they did, who would want to sit and press their finger against a vertical screen? Your arm would be dead within 1 hour.

Quote from Velociround :Do you really want to come up with "who came first?" questions? I guess it's Symbian, in 1990. You can say any feature you want: it is highly unlikely to have been implemented in any other platform before Symbian. It has had quick access to bluetooth/silent/etc before Android and iOS even existed.

Android's drop-down status bar is, with your own words, a "ripoff" from Nokia's Maemo-powered devices, which not only came to market long before Android, but also have this drop-down bar from the status bar with all of these notifications/switches(bluetooth, silent, ...)/etc. So you can say Nokia has evolved their own former status bar and lock screen on Symbian Belle, but you can't say they copied it from Android. It's the other way around.

By the way, the Symbian (all versions, including non-touch) lockscreen has always (like, since the S60 interface has been created or something) been like that. The only difference is the wallpaper (custom) and the improved status bar.

I'm just saying what I see. Sorry for not being an expert on Nokia history. A bit odd though that if they invented that look a long time ago, it's first now that they decided to use it. But whatever.

That lock screen and status bar looks like a "ripoff" from Android.

Doesn't it sync both ways? Like if somethings missing on the PC side, it syncs from the phone, and when somethings missing on the phone side, it syncs from the PC? Obviously, anyone with half a brain but Apple, would expect that's how it should work.

http://www.addictivetips.com/m ... s-with-unrevoked-forever/

In essence, with S-OFF you completely unlock the NAND protection, allowing you to install a custom recovery, that again allows you to install custom roms. Previously you had to use Unrevoked to gain root access and install a custom recovery, but that's not needed anymore, and it didn't give you S-OFF either. The AlphaRev team just made available AlphaRevX for a few devices, including the Wildfire, which replaces the bootloader with one that has S-OFF. Thought I'd just mention this, as I happen to have a Wildfire too. In fact I'm maintaining CyanogenMod for it. Also xdadevelopers are a good resource for custom roms and other stuff for Android, as well as having sections for different phone models. For example, the Wildfire section is here.

Quote from Boris Lozac :Managed to capture it on PC too, sorry

You're aware you can S-OFF your phone now, and unleash the full potential to further customize it?

What the heck! Have to UNLOCK again, when I just did it on A3?!?!

It's normal that one has to unlock LFS when upgrading from Z28 to A3? What if one has both versions in the same folder, to be able to run each version? Unlock every time they are run? First post doesn't mention anything about that you need to unlock, so was a bit surprised to see unlock button on the screen after installing A3.

Yes, it's been around for a long time. The thing is, since the physics has been the same for years now, the wr's set by using the normal methods have been pushed to the absolute limit. So to beat them without using unfair methods is really really hard. But by exploiting this button clutch thing, you can easily beat most wr's with up to 0.3 seconds. I'm counting at least 20 wr's set just last month, that's not using auto clutch, so I would definitely say it's happening more now than before. I guess respect and fair play is not so important in LFS anymore. That's what's so sad.

Who takes hotlapping seriously now anyways, as long as people are allowed to use exploits like button clutch scripts and what not. Looking at most of the wr's set in the last 6 months or so sure is a sad sight. Just thought I'd mention it while we're on the subject on fixing hotlapping stuff...

So, replays anyone?
arco

Ehh, if it's modified, shouldn't it give OOS error or something when opening in normal lfs.exe? Because the replays work fine here...

Quote from Dennis93 :So basically if you wanna beat people fair and square, use AC.

Which is something some of the idiots uploading wr's to lfsworld lately should learn. Probably about 90% of the wr's uploaded these days are set with bc.

Quote from Hahmo :In Finland aswell. Should be in every scandinavian country though, right?

Yep, except for Denmark maybe. In northern parts of Norway, winter tyre season is from mid October until mid May, but usually the snow is gone by mid April and you can put on summer tyres then.

Wow what's happening here? The UK is getting more snow than us over here in old snow country? Next we'll have to move all winter sports events over there, so you better start building ski jump hills, mates!
