What about a 1:4 scale of something the size of Isle Of Man?
I guess it would be about 12km x 5km. Similar in size to Everon from the Arma mil-sim series.
South City is the main settlement in the south-east, with Blackwood on it's outskirts.
Westhill could be in in the norwest area; the agricultural biome. Various dirt roads are also in this area perfect for rally and rally-cross.
Aston is in the midlands near a small hamlet. The area has numerous rolling hills including Aston Hill, a 3km long hill climb.
The rest of the island is dotted with 4 other small villages and connected via B-roads.
A scenic B-road circumnavigates the island's coast.
A north-south dual-carriage motorway runs from the northern-most village to South City.
I love that LFS is both a hardcore track racing sim and an open world sandbox where you can create your own layout and make your own fun.
I often wonder how large a world the engine would be capable of handling?
Imagine a huge 'LFS island' with all the race tracks spread out, and roads interlinking them, so you could take the country roads from Westhill to South City
Classic strawman fallacy here; stating I must either agree with you, or I must have a preference for the game to 'remain in the dark' - even though I never alluded to anything remotely near that.
But anyway, your post is purely speculative as you don't know the current sales figures or the forecast uplift that publishing the game on Steam would have, to know whether it would make sense to do it.
By the way, even without visiting the forums or Reddit I received notification about the update from 2 other sources, namely the LFS newsletter and subscription to the LFS YouTube channel.
LFS is a niche within a niche. It's almost a cult game at this point.
Slapping it on Steam won't achieve much at all, other than hiving off 30% of revenue to Valve.
To be clear he said he'd "think about maybe" sharing some new screenshots.
I've been on the internet for long enough to know how quickly a "think about maybe" can become an iron clad guarantee, followed by outrage about broken promises.
My feedback is, this car is excellent.
Slightly taily under power on slow speed exit, but it feels realistic.
And it's quite well balanced with the other GTR cars.
Very good mod, so thank you!
If you're referring to Turn 8 at the current Adelaide street circuit, this might provide drivers with some tips. Different cars here obviously, but the same principles. https://youtu.be/7ZHO7ujH3Wg?t=138
Fantastic mod.
I love the driver movement, how the driver leans into the corners.
It can look a but strange when counter-steering though.
Is it at all possible to dampen or delay the animation somehow?
Apologies for the massive bump, but wondering if FanaLEDs is still supported?
I can't get it working with my Fanatec CSL DD.
It seems to detect my Clubsport Pedals but not my wheel or display.
