Quote from Jedruss :im posting this one to keep balance Big grin

Pretty sure I played that 1982 flight simulator he's talking about.

Edit: And I landed it once. And did a really lame dance around the living room in my family home aged 10 because I thought it made me a champ.

Why would licensed racers go on demo servers? It's a trollfest.

I bought my bike for £30 from a kid who probably stole it. Then replaced the saddle which was another £30.

I cycle to work every day and bez past all the arseholes in the lycra with their £2000 bikes. Get a proper hobby!

I really like Ricciardo. Hopefully while the Mercedes driver are bickering amongst themselves he'll sneak by and take the championship from them.

Quote from Jakg :Everyone say hi to Rupert

Cute dog. We've got a puppy Rupert here in York, my dog stole his ball this evening, and stole his other ball last week. My dog is a bit of a dick.

Er... Is this a British diplomat or a Malaysian diplomat? I'm struggling to keep up with this lack of information.

The UK government is based on irony, double standards and contempt for anyone who didn't go to Eton. It's especially so for the current Tory government but unfortunately most of the opposition are exactly the same and the system of a democracy dominated by party politics is demonstrably broken beyond repair.

We do still have some vestige of democracy but it would take a campaign with a bigger budget than all of the three major parties combined to elect a parliament that would actually reform parliament - something that would benefit the electorate but not the major parties.

I may or may not attempt it anyway.

I will miss Costa Rica and their giant-slaying abilities. Great squad.

I agree with the above biz about Neymar. There's a lot of violence in the world cup these days, some really nasty behaviour. I thought Nigel De Jong / Xabi Alonso in the 2010 final was bad but there has been worse in this tournament.

FIFA need to start giving more straight reds. I know they want their 'stars' in the tournament but if you start dismissing them for dangerous play they will stop doing it.

Shame we didn't get to see the Mercedes pair battle to the end, but I suppose Lewis was due some luck in the reliability stakes.

And great to see Williams doing well and Vale on the podium, pity that Massa got caught unsighted in Råiiikernøńnëñńeńen's accident though.

I used to surf every morning when I lived in the USA. In the winter anyway, the water was too busy in the summer.

It's harder than it looks on short boards like those. The ocean is pretty slippery!

Well yeah it's something FIFA would have to mandate. Their current FFP approach isn't strong enough and there are still way too many clubs operating in an unsustainable way. The most crippling costs would go if the governing body introduced wage caps - there'd be no incentive for the best players to go changing clubs every two or three years.

And let's face it when your average EPL first-teamer is earning £30k a week - more than the average English family earns in a year - they could hardly complain if FIFA said enough is enough.

They should really just cap players salaries, that would go a long way to sorting this stuff out. And allow their agents to only take a proportion of their salary and nothing related to transfer fees.

What's the difference between a bass player and a large pizza?

The pizza can feed a family of four.

Is this really as disappointing as everyone says?

It looked like quite an interesting game from the trailers, compared to most big-studio games that are just re-hashing old tropes from the last 20 years. Is the production quality so bad that it makes it a bad game?

Quote from Storm_Cloud :City are one of the few clubs in the world that can stick him in the reserves until his contract runs out at 35. That would pay them back in the long run as it would take a little power away from the players.

He was by far their best player in both seasons that they won the title. He's arguably the best player in the league. One of the best players in the world. You want to see him rot in the City reserves for the rest of his career?

I've no idea what all this story is about but I would rather see him play. Who cares anyway it's only Man City.

UK Hip-Hop outfit I saw at a festival a few weeks back. They've got some really good vocalists. The quality of English MCs these days is excellent.

Quote from Intrepid :Also the control at which Hamilton won Malaysia and then to win in a completely different manner in Bahrain is not a 'stupid' driver.

I don't think he's stupid, I think he gets too involved in the moment and doesn't look at the big picture. Alonso and Vettel are much better at managing a race than Hamilton.

Quote from sinbad : I think Rosberg should have managed to find a way past given the tyre advantage. Whilst he is certainly a quick driver, I don't think the wheel to wheel stuff is his strong point.

It's not particularly important in F1 though. Being smart enough to drive the car in the right way to exploit the formula is arguably more important, and Hamilton has never excelled at that.

I bought a Warmoth 'Dinky J' body, a Moses carbon fibre neck, a pair of Fender J pups with hum-cancelling dummy coils, a pickguard, control plate, Gotoh bridge, Gotoh reverse gear machines, a pair of 250k exp. taper volume pots, and a 500k linear taper pot with an integrated push/pull 2PDT switch, oh and some sweet black knobs.

And I made it into this, which has insane sustain, no dead spots anywhere, and a massively beefy sound when the pickups are switched in series. I'm putting a hexaphonic pickup on it next so I can send an out to a polyphonic pitch-to-MIDI converter.
