I'll put it this way: first £12 was for Scawen. Another for Victor. But that affirmative action hire Eric will not get anything from me.

If there's huge potential then you can be sure Scawen will ignore it.

Quote from Shotglass :scawen any chance we might get a "no suspension damage" mode for this sort of thing
there a huge potential there for some trackmania type crazyness combined with good physics

Quote from Scawen :Mine just says "New value is too low" or "New value is too high".

Well, seems your original LFS is better then than my copy. Thought maybe it's a translation thing then, but no, my copy does same when set to english (enter value out of range to 3D settings - LFS disappears).

You could perhaps ask Eric to try it on his copy?

Greetings to Eric. If any value outside 30-70 mm range is entered to interpupillary distance setting, LFS disappears instantly.

Quote from Scawen :...I'm sure Eric would enjoy doing that at some point.

Did you actually ask him? Have you been talking about it? Or is it just a guess?

Quote from Scawen :Why do you need to know what Eric thinks about multithreading? I don't see it as some controversial thing which would polarize opinions...

It's pretty obvious what Eric would think. He would be happy any time I can give the graphics or physics systems more power. He would approve if I spent some time on it, but obviously not when some other things are more important, like supporting him with this Westhill update, as I am doing at the moment (reason for the delay on the anaglyph 3D).

Now I can't help but wonder, what does Eric think about what Scawen thinks about what Eric does think about multithreading stuff?

Why? There's this conspiracy theory that Eric does not exist. So far I see no proof that he is real, and your post there only adds to suspicion.

I see that there's one word missing from discussion. Here it is for you: jews.

Funny to see people actually discussing differences between democratic and republican candidates. All they will do is according to instructions that come from direction where things like AIPAC and Goldman Sachs are.

Maybe, but "kummid" is certainly also correct.

Well, noticed this now thanks to Scawen.

It's translated "kummid" quite intentionally because I don't like the word "rehvid". And "kummid" is not slang.

Too lazy to search for it, but Scawen has said smth like "chase view is not for driving, it's only for watching forces". Also you can't select that view as default.

BTW I use chase view also, and not going to change that.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Tuesday, August 12 • 17:50

Tbilisi, Georgia URGENT: Georgia confirms continued presence of massive Russian occupation force, bombings, ethnic cleansing & economic warfare. Contrary to some media reports and to the statement by Russian President Medvedev, Russian occupation forces are fully operational in Georgia with at least 12,000 troops throughout the country, many of them outside of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. This is no way represents a "halt to military operations" or a "halt to war" as many media outlets are reporting.

Specifically, at this hour:

—Russian soldiers occupy the Georgian Black Sea Port of Poti, which they have destroyed and where they have killed nearly 100 civilians. The port is blockaded and their are tanks on the roads outside of Poti.

In recent hours:

—Russian forces have bombed Gori city center for the first time, where two journalists were reported killed today and a hospital was bombed.

—In western Georgia, Russian troops ordered members of the civil administration to abandon their posts

—In Senaki, Russian forces bombed and are believed to have mined a major Georgian army base. The base had been evacuated prior to the attack.

—Most of the ethnic Georgians who were in South Ossetia have been taken to Kurta detention camp by Russian troops or have been killed by separatist paramilitaries. The massacre is continuing.

—Local witnesses are reporting that Russian troops (or Russian allied militia) are verifying the ethnicity of residents and if they are Georgian they are summarily executing them with a bullet to their head. Reports of such massacres are coming from the villages of Nikosi, Kurta, and Armarishili.

—In Agara, a town outside of the conflict zones, an ambulance was bombed.

In recent hours, the Russian invasion forces also have begun a campaign of economic warfare. Among other attacks, they have:

—Bombed a German-owned cement factory in Kaspi

—Bombed and narrowly missed the BTC pipeline near Rustavi.

Not evil enough?

Every time when restarting after auto update, I get this:

InSim - TCP : bind failed
InSim : not initialised

LFS doesn't kill the socket? Might be though that Windows doesn't process it fast enough.

Cool. Next thing, somebody invents chip which can run this bytecode directly. And with that can build LFS script accelerator card. And then Victor can sell it in his LFS shop.

Can't wait for even more "it's an option!" or "go play NFS" posts. So useful.

Quote from Gener_AL (UK) :...all it takes is to for people to communicate

All communication I've seen from Scawen himself is "LOL". I'm quite disappointed...

Anyway, there's way too much talk about damn views. There just should be available as many options for views as possible, so that everyone can find most comfortable settings. Any restrictions are just plain stupid. Especially as the cockpit view is not that good in LFS (plus cockpits are just ugly - hopefully that will change soon).

And good luck with your elitist LX week. :thumbsdow

Nonsense. You can't ever FORCE me to drive in cockpit view. You can only force me not to drive. Will that make somebody happy?

Actually there is one thing which I thought would be useful to have. Urgent? Probably not. Anyway... OutGauge packets in normal InSim way. Maybe with somewhat different contents. Basically I'd like to have fuel consumption info without messing with UDP, but would be useful in other ways also I guess.
