Maybe it'll be 2 hours of German, then 2 hours of English.

I wonder if it'll be in English or German when it re-starts?

Just for information: The person the won the BMW M6 has sold it. The reason is that it's too expensive to run it. He got $62,000 for it! He's also talking while racing which is intresting.
He said something about 2300 to 0100. He's also very funny acting as a spotter:
"4 cars coming, stay low, stay low, stay low, oooo there's my team mate, STAY LOW!"

Quote from Jakg :anyone got a vid of the "8 wide into club" or the Carrera crash? i gave up watching BTCC (or WTCC) a long time ago because a typical demo server was cleaner

Quote from Jakg :(i think the mobo must be a 680i chipset)

That's correct, that's another reason for my 680i motherboard.

Quote from Jakg :you could throw in a £30 Corsair Dominator memory cooling system

On ebuyer there currently £13.
I don't know if you'll know the answers but I'll ask anyway.
Would it work with OCZ RAM?
Is it worth it?
How is it powered?

Quote from Jakg :have some money to spend on some neons (cold cathodes) and Nawzzzzz (Red Bull )

That's too pimp for me

Thanks allot Jakg.

Since I have been saving up again it's time to do my last upgrade for a while (I hope). Vista 64 has eaten into 80% of my L-cheap-o 1 GB of RAM. So now the funds are here I'm looking for some semi decent stuff that will allow me to overclock if need be in the future.

So far I have been eyeing up 2 sorts of RAM:

OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC2-8500 1066MHz
and
Corsair (TWIN2X2048-6400C4PRO) XMS2-6400 2048MB

The only reason I've picked that Corsair set is because of the LED's that would give the inside of my case some nice eye candy.
Yes I know I shouldn't be picking RAM because of how it looks on the inside of my case because I'm not going to be watching it, but hay, it looks nice.

Now your views on my selection or maybe you can offer me a better 2GB set for under £200?

Thanks allot.

Edit: I feel as if I should be paying for the technical support you've all given me.

Quote from The General Lee :I would buy Vista, but I want to buy something I know will work smoothly.

I've been using x64 Vista Premium for the past few weeks and I'm finding it more stable then XP Home and Media Center 05. I also had problems finding a anti-virus or firewall, so I sorted that by turning the windows firewall on and that's it!
Done a scan with the online trend micro system and it found my system to be in perfect working health with no problems to speak of.
The media center in Vista is also working a treat for me with the Media Center Remote that I recently purchased.

Maybe I'm just one of those lucky people awaiting all of those bugs and nasty BSOD to pop-up at me at anypoint.

Through the testing we've had nothing like this issue crop up. So I'm going to work with X-Ter to get the issue sorted out as quick as I can.
We have been testing ScreenRacer on a wide range of computers, slow and fast and operating systems and not had any issues running ScreenRacer. It was our aim to get screenracer running on real bottom line computers and not pile it with loads of effects that you needed a up-to-date system to use.

The first release from ScreenRacer.com! Download the Demo!

The 3D Stockcar Screensaver featuring the voices of Jeff Hammond and Kenny Wallace! ScreenRacer is a 3D Race car screensaver experience like no other! It runs on Microsoft's DirectX technology using an advanced physics system to drive the vehicles. Each racecar uses a ridged racing AI system that will keep you glued to your monitor. You will never see the same race twice, because the program is AI driven. This program is a must for any racing fan!

* Included almost 150 audio clips from Jeff Hammond and Kenny Wallace.
* Enable/Disable all sounds, if you want to run the screensaver silent.
* Scalable settings allow users with slower computers to run the program, while fast computer can push the graphics.*
* Supports resolution up to 1200x1600.
* Comes with 2 race tracks, 1 mile short track & 2.25 mile speedway.
* Included are 12 unique race cars, with free car updates.
* Random car and track selection.

Visit www.screenracer.com for more info!

This is a project I've been testing for the last year. If you try it, feedback is appreciated. This is the first release and yes it's oval racing, but lined up is different cars, single seater and even pick-up truck and different courses and ovals. So stay tuned to the ScreenRacer site.

For thermal paste I would recommend Artic Silver 5
If your CPU is clean with no paste on it then just the above would do, but to clean old paste off use something like Articlean

I love this type of development. Instead of Scawen releasing a compatible patch and disabling the engine sound tweaker, he makes it clear that it is not supported, but makes it easier for us to use by taking out the edit_eng part of the process.

Top work Scawen  .

Quote from Bean0 :Internet Relay Chat, it's like multiplayer notepad

If I were to type "/me strokes his G25", to the others it would show as "Bean0 strokes his G25".

Typing that would actually show (depending on which point you pressed enter):

Bean0: "/me strokes his G25"

What you meant was:

/me strokes his G25 That would show: Bean0 strokes his G25

P.S, you can sure tell when the mods are not about .

The way I see vista is the same as LFS. It don't matter how long you hold off, it won't get no cheaper and vista can only get better.

I'll have a look at them coolers Jakg.

Thanks everyone once again .

I'm going for my next upgrade within a month or so and would love your advice or any alternatives you think that might do their job better.

Wintv Hvr4000/pci Quad Tuner Card
Seagate ST3500641AS Barracuda 500GB
Zalman Heatpipe CPU cooler
Microsoft OEM Windows Vista Home Premium x64Bit
ArctiClean Thermal Material Remover and Surface Purifier
Arctic Silver 5

The Hard drive and CPU were just random picks so if there's better HD's or CPU coolers I'm open to suggestion.
Since I use the stock heatsink and fan with Intel's grease I guess that is the right cleaning stuff I need for taking the old stuff off?

Since Vista is bound to the hardware of the computer, would it expire if I were to change the RAM? At the moment I have el-cheap-o ram and am going to buy some decent ram when I get enough money again, but didn't want to install vista, only then have it expire when I change the RAM.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated  .
